Went out late Tues night and tried a run down B'way. Spotted a blonde between Market and Federal who I had picked up a couple weeks ago, Ashley, or something like that. Circled and she seemed to be working that area. Thought I'd check to see if I could find Alyssa who I hadn't seen on the last couple of trips. She may have gotten pinched by Leo. That seems to happen with some frequency for some reason. Anyway after driving down to Kaighns and not seeing anyone interesting I circled back for the blonde. She was gone, damn you mongers! Anyway, I made another pass and spotted a slender brunette near Pine heading North. So I circled around to head her off and she was gone. But she wasn't, she was standing on the corner of Pine. She then started south again and I happened to hit the light at Walnut as she was approaching. She got there just as the light changed and hopped in. She is Aspen. Looks pretty food in one of those figure hugging black crepe cocktail type dresses. Took me to her spot which is actually pretty good, I never would have found it. Anyway, she said she normally asks. 45 but. 25 will do. She has supposedly been in C-town for two weeks. Previously, she had been posting on BP since Jan. Said she is 20. Seems to have nice little A's. Started off manually and then CBJ. She wasn't one of the better performers out there, but most of them are BBJ which is always better, unless its al-dente. I visited Camden's Broadway; recently. She was fine. Movie star beautiful! Model beautiful! On anybody's scale, from 1 to 10 she'the be at least a 20. A couple of weeks ago I spotted a very pretty brunette WSW along the southern end of Broadway. She was walking with a guy and they turned down a side street. I pulled down the side street and she came over to the car and she jumped in. She said that her name was Aspen and that she had been working for fox provider which had been advertising on BP (you can search and find her pics). Once again, missed Alyssa. First spotted her at the front window pharmacy on Pine picking up some meds. Then lost her for a while until I spotted her on West near Clinton or Washington. (It parallels 5th) She was with the same guy from the previous pickup and looked out of it again so I passed. Spotted a cute little brunette that looked familiar. I think I reported on her last year, not a regular in Camden. I think it was Melissa who I reported on a year ago (July 19). Finally saw she was hanging at Clinton and circled around to Berkley only to see a pickup turn in front of me with her in the front seat. Damn!

Finally as I was heading out, I spotted Jackie, a tall slender blonde near Carl Miller. I circled and she jumped in. Nice clear complexion. (Too many of the girls out there look like they've taken a round of birdshot to the face.) Says she has a place in Gloucester. Very good bbbjcimws. She really knows how to suckle, very intense. I was out the other night to see if I could find Alyssa again. I did spot her back near 6th on Royden, but she was engaged in conversation with some guy and I never did see her out on B'way. After cruising for a while I finally settled for Alex. She was hanging at Clinton and kept walking off B'way which makes a pickup much less conspicuous. She was wearing a skirt and has shoulder length brown hair that sort of hides her face. She may have been attractive at one point but the wear is showing. We found a spot and she got to work. I'd seen Snow hanging near Walnut a couple years ago. Was never able to connect with her. Hadn't seen her on the street for the past year or so. I didn't even know she was still around. (There are probably a lot of things about B'way I don't know.) The other night, I was cruising the area and spotted Leo pulling around the corner of B'way and Walnut. All of a sudden I see Snow running to, and jumping into another car parked on B'way. I could swear she's just gotten out of Leo's vehicle.

Oh, and the cameras are definitely working. I was stopped at Royden the other night and happened to look up at the camera. A couple of Leo's, lights and sirens, had just passed heading North. The slit was looking North. As I watched, it swung around to look Southward, toward the short wall near Line St. Across from the old Carnege Library. There was a guy and two girls hanging there. Later, on another pass, I saw it swing to look South, directly at me, then East where one of the Mobile command centers was parked on Royden.

I couldn't agree with you more, they really are our "drug of choice" and can be very destructive to us if we choose to let them be.

That's the way it is with these girls. The drugs burn them out fast. Its like living your life in "dog years", they age so rapidly. Their lives are drastically shortened by the effects of the drugs and all that goes with life on the streets. Unfortunately, most never escape the habit and Dyan looks as though she is approaching the end rapidly. That is the paradox those of us who use and support these women face, they are only there for us because of their drug addiction. At the same time most of us are saddened by the destructive effects of the drugs they use. I know someone who's daughter is a heroin addict. She has OD'd in Camden a couple of times now. They want that high more than they want life itself. Is it even possible to save someone once they have gone that far. In reality, we never really know them, nor they us. Our worlds are largely divergent, or perhaps tangent to each other. To us they are recreation, or perhaps our "drug of choice" to fulfill whatever need we have for intimacy. That too can be destructive, to us.

Says her name is Alyssa. She is from Philly,"the Badlands". Hiding out in Camden from some sort of charges in Philly. Finally made a pick up around 2 AM Wed. Had seen her earlier, but she disappeared, again. Then as I was about to call it a night, there she was on the steps near Royden. Pulled up to the light but got no response. Circled around and there she is walking out into B'way. She seems to stagger a little and as I approach she is gesturing towards Royden (that would be a wrong was on a oneway). Then I can see she appears glassy eyed and slack jawed, definitely out of it. Not something I am comfortable with, a doped up hooker under an "eye in the sky". I circle again and she is gone. As I am about to call it a night after checking out some chick who has been hanging near the Rand the past couple of nights, I make one more pass on B'way. There she is, talking to Johnny the heavy set guard at the Cooper Hosp construction site. I circle and she is now heading South. I managed to get to Clinton St just ahead of her and as she crosses I motion for her to come over. Some dirtbag starts talking to her and she seems to blow him off and jumps in. As we pull off, I realize I am having trouble understanding her. She is slurring her words some and just not speaking clearly. Seems she was telling me I was her first "date" of the evening. Someone else had picked her up and drugged her and she woke up on the steps at Cooper. She had been eating a tomato when I picked her up and she asked if I had anything to drink. We stopped at the Hess on 30 and I gave her $2. When she came out, she was so excited that she'd gotten this large coffee for $2, and she got to make it herself, ah, the simple pleasures of life. She seemed so innocent, almost child like in that moment. It makes me question whether she is 21 as she claims. While she was in the store I had decided that I really wanted to see this girl in all her glory, rather than just a quick BJ in the car. I asked and she agreed to go to my place (the benefits of being single). She immediately fell asleep as we drove. When I got home I left her in the car asleep while I went in and prepped, lock the dog up, etc. I went out to get her and she woke up as I opened the door. I've made a couple of trips to B'way the past week or so. Actually been spending way too much time scoping the scene. I've been seeing a possible WSW hanging near the old "Porch" at Royden. She apppears to be short, cute with long light brown or dirty blond hair. Lately she has been wearing blue shorts and a black top. She always seems to be hanging with a couple of guys. She is right under that damned camera, so I am reluctant to try a pickup there. First time I spotted her she was crossing the bridge to N. Camden, usually a good sign she is a user. Also saw her at the "Pharmacy" on Pine St at least once. Finally had a shot at a pickup as she and her posse were crossing near Benson but she just stared at me as I sat at the light. Anyone had an experience with this girl? Anyone know of whom I write? It would appear that she lives on 6th between Royden and Clinton. At least that is where I have seen her on several occasions when she disappears off B'way.
