I called them the sportsters meaning many were in the biz for fun or extra cash. Lit is right, it's very difficult to categorize everybody but what seems to have stuck as a desperada with nothing to lose is a Nando 1. I think of Nando 3s as true SBs who are looking to supplement their lifestyle, even pay the rent, without being so close to the edge that a flat tire will send them to their SD calling for money on a regular basis.

I spend the max amount of Sugar budget on my current HCB ATF and a call for a significant amount of unscheduled $$$ would create a little stress. Therefore I don't want my SB calling for Sugar. She gets enough as it is. And she has never asked for anything. I love that about her and I give her more and more as I am able. If I weren't married I'd give her more than she could make as a practicing attorney. Maybe she will give me sugar someday when she passes the bar and gets a grownup job.

I realize you have been developing your classification scheme for some time and I don't mean to oversimplify but I consider this to be an operational definition: "Nando 1 type girls * are desperately poor, substance addicted, and frequently active or semi pros who have often done time."

I completely agree we should all stay away from these unhappy folks. In my experience, though, this definition fits the WSW and BSW model more commonly than the SB. Of course SWs are for sure pros, and SBs try not to be, or try not to appear to be. Most of the SBs I've sought out and met have been in need of sugar, and some of them desperately. I've never encountered a substance addicted SB (well, two were alcoholics) or one who has been incarcerated (to my knowledge). I see SBs as in transition, usually having greater than short term goals, and determined to keep a non-pro identity while temporarily supplementing their income with pops of sugar from SDs until they can achieve those goals.

Poverty, or relative poverty anyway, is for sure a major motivation for most SBs. So while I would agree that we should stay away from Nando 1's (as defined above) , I think economic disparity between SD and SB is a necessary element in our equation for SD success. Put another way, I wouldn't disqualify an SB candidate simply because she needs money. Young mothers who need money to pay the rent and who are determined never to become pro are prime targets. As are young college students and graduates burdened with student loan debt. In most cases, I believe, these girls have a choice. They can take low paying menial jobs and work their asses off, or they can find an SD and swap access to their vagina for some sugar and good times. In my personal moral code, while I think choosing to be an SB might not be the best for her character development, I don't feel we are taking advantage of the girl by giving her what she wants in exchange for what we want. Being an SD is probably not all that good for character development either, but that's human weakness for you.

As to strippers. I find them much more likely to be true Nando 1's. They are often hard as nails, turning away propositions for intercourse multiple times each working hour, and good ones make so much sugar from the tease that they have no need to turn tricks. You can drop $300 on an artful stripper as fast as you can on a hooker, and you often hear mongers muttering on the way out of the VIP "Damn, I could have hired an escort for a lot less than that."

But the life of a stripper is hard and it comes through in her relationships. I've had some beautiful sessions with strippers (not Nando 1's though) but they were all desperate to get out of The Life. Not so with SBs, many of whom seem to view being an SB as a kind of lark and basically meaningless while they are waiting for something else they are confident will come along before too long.

I'm overgeneralizing, I know, and I'm sure others have different experiences.
