Oh yes! When this was sternly impressed on me by the fellow sitting next to me, I saw 10 other heads bobbing in agreement. So IF that is indeed the attitude that pervades the citizenry, then I'd say, go for the jury trial!

I have also met them on facebook. For some reason Vampire Wars is a big time hit with girls. Haven't really figured that one out.

A priest from a Northeast Philadelphia parish was arrested last week on charges that he tried to pick up a prostitute in Kensington, police said.
The Rev. Patrick McCormick, the parochial vicar of St. Timothy Church in Mayfair, allegedly approached a police officer posing as a prostitute as part of a citywide vice unit operation on Kensington Avenue near I Street about 11 pm on Feb. 23, police said. McCormick. 48, was charged with patronizing a prostitute and entered into the Accelerated Misdemeanor Program. He was ordered to perform 18 hours of community service and pay $200 in fines, according to court records.
A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia called McCormick's arrest "deeply troubling" and said McCormick had been placed on administrative leave

Posts: 748I didn't and couldn't have said it any better. You my friend hit the nail right on the head. We have rights and like you said we are innocent until proven guilty. You and I would stand up for those rights because we believe in real justice not Saturday night justice. There are those that would "roll over" just to get what the system wants them to believe is a "better deal if they plead guilty". When in reality there may not even be a case unless a person "rolls over".

Many of the police truly believe in what they do. They work hard at being a real police officer and I have the utmost respect for that select group. It is those that think that they control the streets and own everybody in them that makes me sick to my stomach. These same rogue cops steal from people in the streets. They set innocent people up for something they didn't do because they didn't happen to like what the person might have said to them. They clock a person up beside the head simply because they want to let off some steam.
Read the papers, watch the news there is story after story about people in authority positions in the "system" going bad. That is only the ones they catch. Have any idea how many they don't catch.
Using the sink or swim analogy, if someone drowns because they didn't tread water, then they deserve to drown. When one is in a battle one doesn't have to win just let them know it was you they fought. Maybe next time they will leave you alone.
Stay well and stay safe enjoy the hobby and stay away from trouble.

Posts: 309I don't think this is the point of the objection. I think most grown, well rounded men realize, if you break the rules, you might pay for it. However, in this country, we are supposed to be given due process, innocent until proven guilty and not questioned by law enforcement simply for breathing the air in a certain area. Now if I go out and flat out get caught red handed paying for sex, I'll confess up and pay my due. However, if I'm driving through a well known prostitution area and get charged simply for making a second lap, well, that's just not American to me.

When we break the rules, we are expected to pay our debt to society, but when those enforcing the rules break them and get away with it, then what? The entire system crumbles. The problem is, that in most cases, minus a sting operation, paying for sex is hard to prove, so law enforcement has chosen to crush your rights to try and get a conviction. That my friends is WRONG. If they do it with something as low key as this criminal act, what else are they applying these tactics to? Think about it!

Posts: 29Your ex-fiance and her colleagues amount to just how much of a percentage of total people in that field? It isn't mathematically sound or fair to make a judgement based on your experience with such a very miniscule precentage of those in that field. Maybe your ex was part of the problem that you speak about, either way definitely in the minority of all LE and judicial people.

Posts: 56I think it's funny how everyone has an opinion about the "police gang" and this grand ole' conspiracy. First off, this is a hobbying board, not your town hall. Secondly, the fact that you're on here probably means you're interested in or looking to do something which is less than legal. Blame the law all you want but if you get booked it's not like the cops were looking to catch and frame an innocent person.
If you don't like the law then feel free to move to change it, but until then you people are just whining about getting caught for doing something wrong.

Posts: 230Thanks for your thoughts MM. That view might be typical for some, but not me. I was engaged to a prosecutor for a while and got to know plenty of her colleagues, LE and others in "the system". In addition, I have enough friends that are local LE, troppers and the like to know the accurate story. I wish the standards were higher. Just my humble experience.

She has some fat titties now. Good to talk to here with a level head.

Posts: 29LE & Judicial workers are like every other group on this planet. Most of them are honest people with standards. Unfortunately there are some bad in their ranks as well. Your view is typical of someone looking through the lense of fear because you do something that you know is illegal. Now I do this too, so don't take it personally. But if you were not out picking up prostitutes you probably wouldn't feel the way you do about LE. The bottom line is they have a job to uphold the law and prostitution is illegal, geez I wonder why they bother us-for the life of me I can't figure it out. And if you think prostitution is a victimless crime you need to open your eyes. Look at the neighborhoods and the characters drawn to them by prostitution. No one forces us to do this, so if you choose to monger you have to accept the risks that come with breaking the law of this great land, or stop doing it! Prostitution & soliciting a prostitute are crimes and you will get locked up if caught. You knew this before you ever picked up your first prostitute.
