Calling ahead isn't normal behavior except when you want to reserve a particular person (s) or check availability. 4 hands is sometimes available, but that HAS to be scheduled ahead of time. 4 hands works well when you've seen a person before and she does doubles. Let her pick the 2nd pair of hands. Scheduling gets more restrictive. 1hr. 2 girls is 2x the normal price.

Late afternoon is a good time. Friday evenings are usually too busy.

Good advice from both of you about the CC issue. I was considering the risk of carrying a moderate amount of cash through less-than-pristine neighborhoods, and sounds like that doesn't outweigh the paper trail.
