I just came back from this bakery called Karrey's Sweets, and sweet it was. I called first to get directions. It's in this nice hotel. It opened right on time and a perfectly lovely hostess greeted me. She was very warm and friendly. The prices of the pastries are in the ads. A little high, but it seems that prices at all the shops are going up again. I tasted the cherry pie, and she tried the churro. The cakes were amazing. One was shaped like a cowgirl. Another was plain vanilla, but she said such provocative things while we sampled that my icing flew right into my hat. Because of that I didn't get to try the corn COB cake that was offered. I'll come back for that another time. I was in there for a full hour. The only minor annoyance was the phone that she had to answer a couple times, and the French Kruller was too light.

The confections look exactly like the photos in the ads; so if you like what you see go for it. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the entertaining report on this establishment, Tony. I have a couple questions about the menu. Are Beautifully Baked Bavarian Jelly treats available? If so, is the hostess inclined to taste test or perhaps even gain nourishment from the cream that is so often a part of those treats?

Yes Enneson I did try the BBBavarian Jelly, although that may be a YMMV thing. I went on from there to other things and the cream stayed in the wrapper. I don't know if she likes to taste it.
