It sucks when they cancel. I always give a 2nd chance, but never a 3rd. If someone cancels twice in a row, it indicates to me that she's not serious and we're done. Literal is right, there are always more girls, so no sense in putting up with a flake.

The votes are in and after careful consideration the selection committee has awarded the coveted designation of CSB5 to the amature! Mid-thirties. 5'8", built nice (if the pictures are correct) , and a really great rack. Don't know if she's a single Mom or not. We're set to meet tomorrow evening after she picks her Mom up from work and takes her home. (What a sweet girl!) I hope to break my bad streak with this one. I hope I'd quit after a couple of cancellations too or just one no show. But Johnson sometimes has his own agenda.

I've been burned a few times and don't really have any way to prevent it completely.

I'm not looking right now because I have two sb's I can have whenever I get loose and they are the two I want but I can't get loose and may not be able to for another week or so. This is a different kind of bummer but goes with the hobby.

What I've found on the sb sites is that when a girl says she'll meet it doesn't mean anything. She has to confirm and reconfirm a specific time and place. It looks like you did that. The other thing is, if any part of her discussion, for example, about the allowance, sounds like she's not happy she is likely to cancel or not show no matter how much she reconfirms.

Out of seven successful sb episodes so far, I didn't discuss allowance specifically at all before the meeting in three cases. If you do discuss it specifically in advance you will have a better close rate if your proposal is above the market for pros. (I realize this is obvious and not a brilliant insight, but I think it should be mentioned.) My least costly sbs were the ones who never discussed it. The only time I had an extended discussion about allowance was with a Euro babe model type who finally agreed to meet for a ridiculous amount offered by Mr Johnson and gave me her home address and a time but I canceled because she had become too expensive. She then kept trying to reschedule but I kept Johnson out of the discussion and didn't. So I think the less discussion about it the better. Others may disagree, just my views. I'm learning. When it comes to girls I'm a life long learner and never understand them 100 percent.

A certain number of sb girls are very definite right away. The ones like this I've been with already know a specific place they want to meet and will offer it. Sometimes these aren't the hottest girls though. But you can get lucky. One of my ATF's was this way.

Good news is Literal is right,"there's always, always more girls." I have another trip scheduled for Thursday with three possible SB to see. I've got to make up my mind today. One clearly seems to be an amature, another could be a semi-pro and I'm not sure what the third is. She projects a strong sense of neediness and I haven't even seen her yet. Google Voice sounds like it may have real benefits for our hobby. I'm going to look into it.

Pre-paid credit cards and phones have potential as well.

Cash at checkout makes sense too.

The problem I can see with that is if a person's SO answers the phone. Then you have to explain to your SO who that girl was that was calling you.

But your SO wouldn't be suspicious when a second phone starts ringing? So you leave it off and hide it and pray she never finds it.

That's why the Google Voice controls are so great. You can set up individual instructions for every possible incoming call. So someone who would be suspicious goes straight to voicemail (and it will even e-mail you a transcript of the voicemail so you don't have to call in to check it). It shows up as voicemail from an ordinary phone number, which you can even enter in as a contact and name it something unsuspicious like "Office. Shipping Department". The only people who you let ring through are ones you know, or trust to be cool if the wife answers.

The biggest concern a lot of guys have with Google is that it is pretty clear that Google will be archiving the call logs. I might be worried about that if I was dealing with large agencies which might be the target of federal stings. But for calls to independent girls or SBs, I don't care what Google does. That data isn't going to be public or found by a SO.

If your SO would be confused seeing you with a burner phone, look into Google Voice. Some people don't like it because Google probably keeps records and it is tied to your phone, but for those guys who can't chance their SO finding a spare phone it is awesome.

Google Voice sets you up with a second phone number and forwards calls to that number to your cell phone (or anywhere you want). You can set up personalized greetings and specific instructions for callers in your contact list or not.

So someone you don't know calls the number and it goes straight to voicemail with a generic message."Stripper Bambi" calls and it goes to voicemail with a personalized message."SB Susan" calls and it rings to your phone, but she doesn't know your real number and if she gets clingy she shunted off to voicemail land or just gets blocked.

I don't have a significant other so I haven't give this a lot of thought, but with that said, here are a few ideas:

Purchase a pre-paid credit card with enough of a balance for a hotel to reserve a room. Not sure if that will work with reserving a hotel, but worth a try. If it does work, and if they don't ask for ID, then give a fake name & address when you register since a pre-paid card isn't tied to your name or address.

Purchase a pre-paid cell phone to use only for sugar baby activities. Always turn it off when not expecting contact. It also shields you somewhat from unwanted contact if they turn out to be crazy, flaky or clingy.

Some of the girls may not be able to get the room, it seems many of them lack, or have maxed out, credit cards. You could try reserving the room on a credit card, then settling up with cash when you check out.
