I guess it's time I get off my duff. I think spring will bring things back to normal. I personally find it to be apita to drive through terrible weather to spend a few hours being disappointed. I'll admit my standards are probably a little high.

All the John bust probably contribute to #5. I wonder if this is the highest number for a single operation. You usually hear about 10-15, not over 50. That can have a chilling effect.

I am just wondering. Is anyone seeing any action beyond Letterly. I am talking about the area from Letterly to Girard Ave.

I haven't driven that stretch in awhile. The LE presents in that area use to be light. It might be worth a try.

I may be way off base here, but there used to be a stroll over on Lancaster and 52nd, there was a lumber yard on the corner. Does that stil exsist or I'm I really showing my age.

Them was the good ole days.

I remember that stroll fondly. I still have property near there. I haven't seen any action in that area in years. However, I have to admit I am never in the area after dark; who knows what's around after dark.

We must not be so naïve as to believe that things cannot / will not change. When I first came down to Kensington Ave the area around the park and the Donut shop were the two hot spots for pickups. That's changed. CraigsList use to be the rage. That's changed. The internet use to be the exclusive domain of the Hi-priced escorts. That's changed. Now a couple of the pimps are posting their streetwalkers on BackPage at near streetwalker rates ($60).

It has been suggested that Torresdale Avenue should be added to the stroll. Personally, I have never had any luck on Torresdale. Some mongers include Frankford Avenue in their search. When you stop and think about it, the possibilities are limitless. It wasn't that long ago when South Broad Street was the hot spot.

Change is inevitable.

A lot of these girls do not like being out there in the winter as you might expect, so quite a few simply hibernate in rehab for the winter. This also gives them a chance to lower their tolerance to whatever their drug of choice is so they don't need to do 300 bucks worth just to get high once. When the nice weather returns, so will they most likely.

1) Fear of the strangler.

2) Increased LE

3) Increased number of arrest.

4) Weather.

Many SW may be in a municipal sanctioned time out, but many probably found this to be a good time to try and break there habits.

After the spring thaw and obligatory spring LE "operation", I'd be surprised if anything changes.

Your best bet for now is to stake out corners or routes to those corners and be ready to act. Approaching on foot may again be a viable option since I'm guessing the random stops for DNA collection have ended.

I cruised down the K yesterday afternoon and didn't see anyone all the way the whole length down from Frankford. Only did one pass, so don't know if it was just my timing or not.

I drove down again this morning, about 845am, and I saw at least 3 girls working. I somewhat decent looking got into a car right as I was driving by, in the north end. The other two I saw way down in the south end. On my way to work, so didn't have time to do more than one pass, just was curious how things would be.

Unfortunately I believe so. I've heard it from multiple sources on the avenue. Apparently what I heard was she died from a Cocaine overdose. Also word on the streets was that she overdosed in Bishops house and he had someone move her body. If you look at the news, they even mention that the body found was dumped in the abando. So if this is true and there is anyway that Bishop was involved, I sure hope the Police have gotten drift of this info that is going around on the streets. Unfortunately the police in Phila seem to turn their heads when it comes to the pimps and there activities.

I was about to give up when I saw blonde / pink (check out the picture) on Venango. Her name was Ashley, she's 22 and doesn't do this very often.

Don't let her fool you. Ashley has been around for at least 2 years. There are pics of her taken by the former SE. By the looks of her she must have just gotten out of lock-up again as she has some weight on her. Yes she is a good date! Must have done her close to a dozen times over the years. She's usually known to work with either Bishop or Teddy from time to time, so if you found her by Venango that means she's prob back with Teddy.

At first I thought she was high since she had an unnatural laugh that came out often. She was probably just nervous.
