The other morning, I dropped by the Ave to see if anyone was out, especially after all the crap going on with that psycho murder being out there. Saw her strolling about 3 months ago, at that point was extremely thick, maybe fresh out of a taxpayer paid caged vacation. I made a visit to the K earlier in the week and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the number of girls out. I even saw a BSW just before Huntingdon station which has been deserted my last several trips. I also saw a blonde at Cambria which has also been quiet lately. Unfortunately, with the news of another murder I'm sure it will be a ghost town on the K again.

Just getting to this now.

So I was down in Philly on business Thursday, and love ot drive. Driving while mongering is like shopping for Christmas gifts. As some of you have mentioned, this sicko out there has had a major impact on the dynamics of the Ave. The fear this has caused will keep many of the regular girls away after dark and will probably prevent any new ones (always something to look forward to meeting) from stopping by. I hear others say, and I agree, that trips down there are not a good idea while this is going on. Way to much undercover LE as well as numerous busts (80? Wow, there must be hundreds of us out there). Know this is hardest on the girls as they have this new threat as well as a likely slowdown in business. Only good here is perhaps it will motivate some of them to finally get out of this lifestyle.

I passed by the memorial down at Jasper and Cumberland last week. Really sad. Was glad to see that she had people who cared enough for her to take the time to do that. Sometimes they seem so alone. If anyone knows of a fund set up for these girls and their families, please post it here. Thanks, TT

I think your biggest mistake was paying her first. She immediately went for her fix rather than taking care of business. I don't think you were in danger, but you were vulnerable. A drug dealer isn't necessarily out to rob you you. Kill someone out to steal his drugs, yes.

Got to keep to the rules. I rarely car date as I like more time. I always (after many learning experiences,) get a room. Your are more certain of your privacy.

No harm in bailing out of your situation. I know I can't perform if I'm not comfortable. By the way, IMHO, the girls are always more interested in their drug connection than their client. Once they have the money their job is done.

In my humble opinion you didn't think the situation though. If this was a day time date, the chance that anyone would do you any harm was highly unlikely.

The last several weeks it has felt like a police convention. I saw the same cops so many times up and down the K that I started to feel like I should be waving to them or something. I will still do a fly by each day but no lingering.

I heard on KYW soundbites from the press conference by Ramsey the other day. Supposedly they have done 300+ ped and vehicle stops in the area, are using plain clothes officers and undercovers, arrested 80+ guys for solicitiation and also arrested some SWs for warrants. Probably is a good idea to stay away, especially at night.
