I remember a VERY long time ago when I thought "the K" was K Street, since there was one, and not that "the K" is a nick for Kensington Avenue, also known as "the Ave. "

However, if your question is sincere, it is still a bit mysterious. Walking "to" an intersection implies you are walking "from" somewhere?
