I had business in Novi so I decided to leave early and check this place out. I arrived about 11:30 on a Sunday morning. The other businesses where not open so I was the only vehicle in the parking lot. You may want to go later when the other stores are open if you want to try and blend in. I often hide my keys, safely. Mostly because I hate carrying my keys when hiking with my dog. But it works for you, I think:

Take just the FOB. You can secure your phone, wallet, gun, physical keys, etc in a hidden location inside your vehicle (or in a bulky chained lockbox or whatnot). If someone does get your FOB, they can't drive your car, and have to deal with your hiding spot in your car or a locked box you have secured. This won't work for you fancy pants Push Button start cars.

I almost always park in an innocuous lot a short distance away at most venues; parlors, sometimes clubs, and all hotels. One for safety and two for privacy. So I was in the area yesterday after seeing this post figured I'd give it a try. I pulled in to the parking lot which is the only way in and out. As I was getting ready to get out of the car and all black suburban pulled in and parked right on the driveway next to the building. Older gentleman gets out with something in his hands. He gave off detective vibes but that could just be me being overly cautious. But the worst part was I was now stuck in the parking lot because I couldn't get around his vehicle to exit. There was another truck in the driveway to.
