Posts: 1889What's the difference between an appointment and reservation, and what is significant about it?

Posts: 107Why'know, I've been asked if I had a reservation on a visit or two.
I do recall going to one of these shops (I think it was Jinye on Division?) and was asked if I was the one with the reservation. I said no, and it didn't seem to affect my (usual) negotiation. Does make you wonder what the rate would've been had I said "yes" .

I would think agencies would only receive compensation for reservations made. How would the agency know how many people walked in? This would explain the promotion on some boards (Seattle) to make reservations even though there is a good chance your provider will be busy when you arrive. There are plenty of reviews with guys having to wait even though they had a reservation. I only do walk in if they are busy I move on.

Agree with your thoughts. At candy and any other AMP I have been to, I deal only with the people inside the building. I am not interested in using a third party.

Posts: 117Your guess is good as mine, one would pay at AMP and the booker gets a fee from the shops or the girls?! That's why it would be smart to walk into the shop and negotiate in person, so people don't pay the middle man for no reason. Or at the very least, if one want to go to a say shop that day, make sure one contact them on their google registered phone, but most likely they won't tell you the rate(tip) anyways!

Rule of thumb really, AMP isn't hotel or escort style service, rate (tip) isn't pre-determined. If some of you have been going to AMP through a booker, probably would be wise to go straight to the intended AMP and you might find prices to be cheaper? Who knows! Maybe also the reason some of you fail negotiation because you came in as a booker's customer and girls make much less!
Yes, I definitely think when you walked into a shop and the lady there tell you to go to other shop, that's definitely a good indication they shared same owner, same business partner, or good friend's business in some aspect!

Posts: 1889Agree that a 3rd party is being used to get additional business. Not sure how it works, because you still pay the money at the AMP. Perhaps they are kicking back a fee for each customer?
If you are asking me, do I think shops are connected because one phone number is being used to book additional business? No, that's not my thinking.
Earlier today, I mentioned that there is one owner for a group of shops in Portland and Vancouver. (145th / Division, the place on 82nd across from hong phat, the happy place on Fourth Plain in Vancouver. Also they formally had the place at Powell /122nd). That's because I've seen the girls transferring back and forth between those shops but not others. And when one of those is busy, they often send you to one of the other ones within the same group.

Posts: 117Base on my personal experience, there are some booker agency that these AMP hires to attract additional customers, they are out there (not based in USA) so they are very blunt on what they said on text msg and the rate they would charge. But if you would to contact the actual AMP's google registered phone number, they won't discuss rate or anything explicit with you at all, other than public knowledge of house fee!

I think some folks on this forum is calling the booker agency and not the STORE itself and got charged a surplus fee. Maybe walking straight to shop in future and talk to girl directly 1 on 1 is more fruitful?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

May I ask which number you were texting to?

It is my understanding that a second company is booking additional appointments for Candy, I wonder if that was the person you were texting with.
