I never had any indication or even a vibe of an issue walking to and from the entrance or leaving the car in that parking lot. A caveat is that I've always gone in the daylight; after dark may be a different story. Given also that it is a well established operation at Lucky's with known providers, I also am comfortable bringing in my wallet / phone versus leaving it in the car. My two cents.
