Tru in Birmingham (the location in Trussville near where the gun store is.) is open and the parking lot was full of cars don't know what the service might be like there but I was just there this past Thursday and it was all lit up. MJ.

I decided to take a drive and stopped by the AMP being advertised in Calera on STG. I'm pretty new to the area, so maybe somebody could PM and clear up some confusion. There seem to be 2 locations by this name, one on 280 and one in Calera. What's the one on 280 like? Anyway, I made the drive to Calera. It was OK. I got what I was looking for, but the provider wasn't exactly hot. Imagine you had a Chinese classmate back when you were in school and you'd go over to his house and you found his grandmother who lived with them mildly attractive. Yeah, it was sort of like that. Anyway, it is what it is in this area right now, so all things considered, I'm not complaining.

I could use a little orientation about tipping protocol in this area. Where I moved from (the Midwest) the standard policy was that if you got a massage and at least left happy, you'd match the door fee. So if massage was $60, you'd tip $60, for a total of $120, just as an example. But based on some comments I've read, it seems like you fellas have managed to keep the tip amounts a little more reasonable. So please give me the lowdown when you can. Thanks. --RJ.

Here is my 2 cents. Right now uncle LEO is watching and investigating all the AMP's especially in the cities south of B'ham like a hawk and are closing them left and right as soon as they are able to build a case. As most are closed now. Recently they also targeted the AMP's in the Tuscaloosa area and closed 3 of them. The very few that are still open are either 100% legit or have absolute no touch policy directed from their owners. We the customers are also can't be sure if we are not being watched as we go in and out as part of their investigation. B'ham has never been a good choice for AMP play for extras anyways and right now it is even dangerous to pursue! So for now I'm staying away from the AMP's for extras in B'ham and hope to find decent independent providers. But having said that if you are seeking out a good legit massage only, go see Nana at favorite massage.

Closed. Same as lily and angel. The rest are diy or very spotty with extremely limited menu. Afaik, there's nothing reliable here. Georgia and Huntsville are the only places nearby until something like a one-t comes back.

For those who prefer people of the Asian Hispanic persuasion, Birmingham seems to be pretty much a void, especially full menu (minus the traveling ones). Are there any hidden gems around here? Obviously, pm only.

Speaking of Pelham, I have been in town the last 2 weekends and drove around a little. I noticed the open sign on Iknead wasn't on 2 Saturdays in a row. Is it closed? I haven't been there in at least 2 years myself.

Does this area still feel hot? Coming thru town next week and always enjoyed a stop at Tru for a solid L1 - nothing crazy.

Well, with the sad state that the Bham AMP state is in, does anyone know what the best nearby AMP would be? Talking best bang for your milage if you're going to go out of town for a little extras. Not necessarily FS but the best quality massage and overall experience that's not 3 hours away.
