We already submitted our DNA and waiting on results. I thought this would be fun project to do with my daughter, hope it doesn't backfire.

The bigger risk are the pre marriage one night stands before marriage. In the hobby, I had a few years of trying to score BBFS CIP as the challenge in finding / negotiating it was part of the thrill. I did have one (hot 22 year old, about 2014) where there was miscommunication about CIP. She was expecting me to pull out. She wasn't too upset tho.

This is odd question but me and my daughter and working on Ancestry site and submitted DNA. I'm divorced BTW. I had a BBFS stage about 10-12 years ago plus a few unprotected one nighters 25-30 years ago. Anyone ever hear of getting a provider pregnant? I would assume they'd get it taken care of but maybe they thought their boyfriend got them pregnant. I just don't want my daughter knowing I have a kid out there from when I was married to her mom.

The math is undeniable, enough data points and someone will know you have offspring beyond a reasonable doubt. I'd wait at least 18 years before even thinking about submitting my data. If you don't see a product from these type websites, you are the product, and it's for sale.

My mom is adopted, and submitted hers through "23 and me" to find out 'real' birth info. Now she has her whole 'natural' family doing it. Guess what, one brother has a 23 year old daughter He didn't know about. At least he's only been married 16 years. There are plenty of reasons to volunteer your info, and as many reasons not to. Good luck getting affordable life or long term care insurance with predisposed genes.
