The same thing happened in Newark, New Jersey. The installed the camera had a very busy corner (SW-wise) on Frye Avenue a number years ago. I don't put much credibility into a story that is SW told me that if you drive by the corner a number of times in given hour, the Newark police will send a letter to your home stating that your car was seen in an area of known prostitution. While I can believe this would be an effective strategy to deter mongers. I also have a hard time believing that the police department we put in the number man hours to generate the letters. If a few cameras can scare you away, you probably need to be in another hobby.

I have found it easier to park my car and walk up to a SW when the ave is too busy and you're unable to pull over or there are police cars around. I’ve had lots of luck with a simple “Hi, can we do a date. My car is across the street”. The downside is I always hoped that I would not appear on a YouTube video chatting up a SW😂 Now with the mentioned police cameras I may have to start wearing a baseball cap and shades.

LOL yea I saw her on the main Ave, gave the nod and met in side street, I don't really like speaking to them from inside the car or through the window, to many blindspots when your head is turned talking through the window so when I pull into the side street I go further up and pull over and step out the car, and act like I'm lighting up a cigarette to survey the landscape and make sure there's mo creepers or tweakers hiding between cars, this gives them time to walk down and puts a little separation from the area of the initial nod.
