Yes, bright lights should not be directed at anyone. You just get squinting. Also, Vidlover once gave very good advice which is not to spook the girl with your gear. I go the low key casual route which is "oh look I just happen to have this camera on me" and film. It has saved me twice on a girl who was wavering on the idea. On second visits, I bring more.

I use it as a last resort by pointing it straight up at the ceiling to illuminate the room. Last resort though, in a weird situation where the girl is willing to do lights up but can't make the room any brighter. Test this yourself and see the difference. DJI has very good color correction as long as there is some light of each primary color. If the room is light by red light and nothing else, it can't be fixed. But if mixed into the red light was even some white light, the DJI tends to correct for that well. Of course, the ideal is to film in true white light but that's not always an option.

Filming in Japan with delivery girls is next level, because they come to my room and my room is 100% perfectly lit. I will even test different spots around the room to put my mini tripod dji 3, then drop a 1 yen coin to mark the ideal spot. This is for advanced filming where you are trying to frame a good shot so you are not zoomed in too much or zoomed out too much. When in doubt, better to zoom out 10% or 20% too much because the dji 3 will capture it perfectly fine. Of course, it is meant to be fun so don't sweat the details too hard. Any jgirl who was willing to do filming, no issues at all with my lighting. I actually sometimes turned the lights down later to make the filming "mood" more natural and GFE rather than "we are filming FC2" level lighting. Which is nice and all, but has a totally different vibe. In my next ISG DH guide I'll sum up these tips and more but it's 90% the same as filming in the US.

I take it many guys are aiming for the FC2 style of filming, and maybe the room has no good position for the camera. I wonder how critical a full tripod is. I have one, but never used it. I find sometimes just the mini tripod is enough if you drop it on even the bed, even though it's zoomed in too far sometimes it works especially if it is a diagonal view. Not using a full tripod probably also helps me get many angles including mirror shots. It makes a big difference if the mirror is extra close. In Lizza's room, her bed was against the mirror (pressing it against the wall), which is perfection.

Options seem limited these days at the usual shops but Himeka has been getting some buzz so I took a chance. I'm happy that I did.
