When they set up a sting based on a complaint, they do not film the day of a warrant search. I don't think the article infers they took pictures the day of the search. What they do is set up cameras and record for a period of probably 1-2 mos. , then they have visuals of customers and traffic. What they're looking for is that 60 IQ moron that's going to spill his / her guts when presented with questions with the bright pendant light above their head while they are seated on a stool with 3 guys standing and staring them down. The fact of the matter is there's probably NO visual evidence of their alleging there was acts of "prostitution" there. What they do have is proof that the therapists were not licensed. Again. They're looking for the frightened 60 IQ stooge out there that's going to turn into a canary when questioned and sing like a bird. Otherwise there's probably nothing there that can be presented as proof. Also, anything posted on a forum such as this is considered "hearsay" in a court of law and is basically not factored in. Why /. Because people make up stories all the time and tell tall-tales (lies). The therapists operating without proper licensure is probably all they'd have as concrete evidence. The rest is just conjecture unless they got an undercover guy in there who was propositioned and has it on a recording.

Model City is a nickname for Kingsport.
The city was founded using a "model" for layout, etc from some Northeastern school.

Fear mongering. When police and in this case judges too stretch into very questionable legal territory and hit a win nobody pays attention to the legalities. When they miss they both get mad and it's embarrassing. It's also dangerous for them. I'm sure whatever judges signed these warrants and the top brass looked at the result and realize their law licenses on the judge end could be jeopardized and months of resources on the enforcement end were wasted and the investigators and how they did it now in question. Though I'm safe if a detective visited me over a perfectly legal activity that shit is getting recorded and a lawyer will review all of it with a fine tooth comb and if any injustice found (harassment, slander, privacy rights, whatever). I can certainly afford to drop that hammer.

Though I cannot confirm they look to be voluntarily closed. If something like four were still unbelievably given search warrants for investigation and the end result two minor infractions that means at max two, possibly one had any infraction at all. At least today in America you cannot close a licensed business down for no reason but pretty certain you need more than suspicion for a search warrant. Though the investigation failed it was more than enough to reduce supply and demand, meaning closures are likely and patrons going to way lessen at least short term to kill the market. Big cities have short memories but not small places so I have little long term hope.

What's your plan for the next 3-6 months?

I have to wonder if the friends on STG have received more calls than normal lately or if the memberships increased on SA? When My buddy got hit I cooled off some and got very selective with who I tried to meet if it was someone I had not seen before and I dropped SA. When other stings started to hit in both NC and here (Brittany and Kate) and then the AMP got hammered it was clear that local LEO decided they were board and wanted something fun to do. Going to be an interesting few months I guess.

There is a reason Knox has no scene and hasn't for a while unless Indie massage or FS skip. And I have seen it before elsewhere after these rounds .3-6 months the "boss" says no and you are lucky to get L1. Juice ain't worth the squeeze.

Don't know what you're trying to say but I've been to 2 spas in Knox that were as good as anywhere.

I didn't say they were illegal I know a guy got pulled over leaving a spa and questioned about activity inside or they could come by his home and talk to him just saying if they were fishing for info they could use this.

It is interesting. Could have just as easily been a shake down of papers or the owner not having theirs in order. What makes it most interesting is that it was open per one of the comments to see people cleaning it out. In other ones I have seen shut down in other areas they are locked up by the locality and something posted of notice. Actual chain type locks like that strip club in Bristol a few years back that I wish I knew of before they went.
