Thanks Tidad, that's both new information and useful information. I'm not sure what the whiners are whining about. STI's are transmitted between sexual partners regardless of gender when they practice unprotected sex. And for the wannabe physicians here, when I had gono symptoms I was prescribed Docycycline. Granted that wan 10 years ago. I'm sure the are other antibiotics that treat the symptoms but what you posted about was a way to prevent the symptoms. I enjoy bare back sex with a few providers and occasionally I'm not as picky as I should be. So far, I've been lucky of late but now I have a way to improve my odds. Thank you!

Go to STDcheck.com. You can get tested and if positive have a prescription from there Dr. You setup and online acct. (create a gmail acct just for this) pay them, go to a testing center (usually labcorp) and get the results to your email. As clean a way to do it as I have found having a SO. Not the cheapest but was quick and simple.

That is doxycycline. It is highly effective against Chlamydia and Syphilis, gono not so much. Ceftriaxone is used for gono. I am not saying doxy won't kill some types of gono strains but it is something like 50%.

Mouthwash before and no deep throat. I've been using this method for about a year and have been clean. Even had dates with some of the dirty ones.

If you went a few weeks ago and are just now experiencing symptoms, it's probably not linked. Unless you have been sexually inactive with your SO since your visit to moon, it's too late to worry much about that; she already had anything you brought home. It's lost likely a coincidence and attributable to something else. If you're prone to kidney stones, that's a logical explanation. A doctor once told me how powerful your mind can be. If you're stressed and think you might have a problem, your mind will feel every normal tickle and burn you have down there which it normally ignores as normal. Getting tested is the only way to put your mind at ease. My money is on you are fine and it's mostly an overactive sensitivity with your mind playing tricks on you.

This is all of course if you're providing the right timeline. If it was within the last week, you should probably get tested ASAP.

In your experience. Would you say hsv1 is a deal breaker? My arrangement has agreed to std test at my will and go to the doctor for birth control and anything else. She's definitely playing ball but if my test comes back negative for hsv1 I'm not sure how to go about it LOL it would mean just sex and no kissing from what I keep getting. I am fortunate the rest of her panel came back clean but she does seem misinformed about hsv1 . Since I met her I may have seen a cold sore on her but it's hard to tell if it was acne breakout because it was like one bump near her lip. Anyways I've only tested once in my life back in 2018 and I realized they didn't even include hsv1 . It get its common. I'm curious if any men actually brought it home and their wives never noticed.

As I said, a majority of Americans have HSV1 and it isn't an STI. I don't worry about it and don't think a girl should either. And if your SO gets out of kilter about you having HSV1, have her read facts on the CDC website. It means absolutely zero. You could have had it for decades. And if you just picked up recently, it doesn't indicate cheating.

The seropositivity in the US population as a whole is about 70% for HSV-1. So, your statement is factually incorrect. It is the cause of cold sores, inter alia, and can be transmitted by kissing, by drinking after someone, etc. It is not a STI, though for one reason or another, it is often included in testing panels.

More interesting, there is a demographic difference in the HSV-2 seropositivity incidence. You should look up the age and ethnic prevalence, and use that to inform who you play with.

Personally, like most guys w / a SO, a HSV-2 diagnosis for me would be a HUGE deal. I take no chances.

I know when you hear that it may sound scary however, almost every one on earth has Hvs -1 by the time they are 5 years old. It is the strain that causes cold sores. Hvs-2 is the strain that causes genital herpes and the one you should be worried about. Even with Hvs-2 unless there is an active outbreak the chances of getting that is very slim.
