Yeah, $250 for a full set of tests can add up. Would it make sense to get the Chlamydia & Gonorrhea test (about $50 or $100 for both on the site) instead of a test for everything?

Fortunately, in my case, Chlamydia is what I've caught most of the time, and Gonorrhea has pretty obvious symptoms.

I have to pay for $250 ish test through stdcheck.com, my PCP starts asking questions when I ask for an STD test a month after the last one, then my insurance also won't cover it. Luckily I can get my HIV Prep through them. I haven't gotten preventative Doxy, only Doxy through PCP if I actually test positive for something.

The whole song and dance of STD test, Prep, Doxy, and Viagra / Cialis is such a pain, haven't found a one-stop shop that does it all. The only STD services do the testing for you and you can go to Quest or Labcorp for the draw, and they even prescribe antibiotics for you, but they don't do viagra / cialis. Then services like Hims and Roman give you dick pills, but don't handle testing or antibiotics.

God damn, what if there was a one stop shop for pussy, pills, and meds? Pick your girl and make appointment, arrive 1 hour before and get the blue pill and take it. 401 k early widthdraw = 10% tax penalty plus some % fee from who you have your 401 k with.

Where as.

IRA = 10% tax no fee from who manages your IRA (that's what they told me).

And ALL depends on how much you have in your retirement.

I did the analysis on this exact scenario. If you have personal investments, better to sell those than a 401 k loan. Think of it as loaning yourself money a different way. (i.e. taking money away from your future). After careful analysis, the 401 k loan is still worse. You are missing future money either way but you want to touch the 401 k last. You repay it with after tax money and that's fine, but still worse than selling your investment that you have. If the market goes up, you'd rather it go up for your 401k. Tax free gains and income taxed in the future at the bracket you choose. If you have any life problem like bankruptcy, lawsuits, or divorce, keeping the 401k is way better.
