I actually had never been to this Newton spot but received a text from an old favorite, Cici, Who had worked a couple years ago at 1005 Chestnut St. In Newton. They must've just done a sweep inspection of a lot of places and as far as I know High St, AA, and sounds like maybe 558 as well, are dealing with that license requirement now. Seems like they may or may not reopen.

Maybe it was just getting a paint job or some repair at the entrance. It was noticeable that the neon open sign wasn't lit, tho.

Decided to see if there was any new talent at walnut, so off I went. Very quiet as it is the holiday weekend.
