I was visiting SD the other week and I had a chance to go across during the day time on a Sunday which I had not done before. What a difference! Just got back from TJ. I crossed the border on Saturday and checked into Cascadas. As others have mentioned, they are now taking $40 as a deposit. My hotel experience was quite poor this trip.
