Well this sums it up very well and quite accurately. Basically eating healthy (fruits, veggies, proteins, and carbs to a lesser degree) will ensure optimal health and performance! Also avoid the dreaded "S" words. Sugars, sweets, snacks, starches, salt, etc! Keep the "S" items at very bare minimum. Ditto for alcohol consumption and quit smoking. As has been mentioned, stay active and get some cardio work in. I usually do about 7 miles a day mostly doing a brisk walk / jog. That's all you really need. You can mix in some some push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, and other light calisthenics as well if you got the time. And also eat in moderation. small portions. This can't be stressed enough. No need to pig out or eat like it's your last meal. Try eating a bunch of smaller healthy meals (like all of the foods we mentioned and the ones provided in the link). It will increase your metabolism and energy levels. And you will start to shed those pounds almost instantly and feel like a new man. It's not rocket science folks. Just do the right thing and live a healthy lifestyle (eating and exercising) and everything else takes care of itself!
