Posts: 1743Just get a prepaid phone account and register it with a fake name or "Verizon Customer". Make up a name, address, etc and use refill topup cards to keep the account active. I haven't had a phone in my name in several years. No reason for it, even besides the dating aspect.

Posts: 1743I shave about 4 years off mine. It can't hurt, and can only help to some degree.

I've been on Seeking for a long number of years. Way back when I joined, I put in my real age. Now that I'm almost to 60, I'm wondering if I would do better to create a new profile and shave 5 years off. I can pass for younger.
Do you other older guys like me use your real age? Do you think our prospects are hurt by it?

Posts: 286Trying to see if I can setup something with her now. We moved to text but haven't setup anything yet, I will report back and see if she's different or not.

Posts: 286I hate chatted with her also, moved to text really quick. But I never went for it, as she's not my type.

We texted pretty extensively & she sent some really hot pics. I had to be in the Battery last night on some unrelated business so asked her to join me there for a drink. At first, she agreed with no conditions. Then an hour later she said she needed $400 for "groceries. " She really really tried to get me to advance it. I refused to advance. She then agreed to have some after-drinks fun with me after I told her she'd definitely get grocery money after we had fun in private.

Something still seemed off about her way of talking. I smelled a rat with her &, frankly didn't expect her to show. Ultimately, I was right, she didn't. I then confronted her about it over text & she barked about how I "couldn't even do (her) a favor" after she asked for it. Reminded her that "favors" are given when favors are gotten. Didn't hear a peep after that.
Her pics are stunning, gents. Don't waste your time & fall for it.

Posts: 350For a lot of these chicks, I give them my real number. I am single, and generally pretty open about my sugar lifestyle with people close to me. If they feel more pro or crazy I use GV but I use my regular number for 80% of women.

Posts: 294As do I and I have been using GV since 2014, I actually have 2 GV numbers. One for legit / business purposes. And one for "dating". There have been one or two girls ask me something weird if my GV was real, one was the worst GPS imaginable, and another was some idiot girl on bumble lying about where she lived (wasn't even local). So no losses. Stick with GV, have a dedicated GV # for personal activities that are in no way shape or form used for anything legit like credit cards, heating bills, voter registration (that's a big no-no) or else risk being IDed.

Posts: 3163If you use GV on your regular smartphone, there is a non-zero possibility of your real life crossing over into your sugar life. IK people it has happened to who post on here.

I use GV to contact everyone. I was chatting w / a girl on seeking and she gave me her number. When I enter them into my phone, I usually give them a name and city in my contacts. However, she came up as a business already known to google. From all that I learned her real name, identity, etc. Etc.
Don't let this happen to you.

Posts: 294I would think a burner phone would be fine, but what a pain the ass to use and text from, not to mention the expense vs free google voice. Honestly I'd stick with GV. If a SB is looking up your number to figure out if it is "real or not" is likely a rinser / GPS / scammer anyway and been in the game way too long.

Posts: 294Wow, yeah long are the good ole days of no reddit forum etc. A SB doing that much research including looking up numbers is not the type of SB I'm looking for. She's obviously trying a little too hard and has probably GPS intentions and will suck in the sack.

I offered 300 and she said okay. Now she's not replying back to my snap. Probably for the better I guess based on the reviews I'm seeing. She did send me a hell of a picture with her on fours from behind LOL.

Based on her build and back tattoo she looks a lot like a girl that used to advertise on backpage. She started off with great reviews and then I recall there were some rip-off reports. I can't say for certain that it's her, but I'm betting it is.

Posts: 3163I think that it is very likely to be impossible to keep this information out of the hands of info brokers. Especially in Georgia. In California we have a right to prevent someone from *selling* our personal information, but I could also see them getting around this by giving it away to the brokers (for other considerations).

I use TracFone for my burner, I find that very economical. You could have that for like $100/ yr. After purchase. For cash, from Target or Walmart.

Posts: 479If I get a second real phone line, is it inevitable that people can find out my name? Off the top of my head, I would have guessed that this is private information that the phone carrier is not allowed to share. How do sugar babies find out? Is there a way to sign up with a carrier and insist on a private number?
