It's a weird phenomenon. The general pattern is for it to be legal in blue states and illegal in red states, but there are plenty of exceptions. Legal in Montana and Arizona. Even Mississippi and Missouri are like Minnesota, with medical marijuana legalized and possession in general decriminalized. There are only 6 other states besides Wisconsin where it's still completely illegal. Our legislature is extremely backwards on this issue. Sure, it's easy enough to find weed here and nobody is going to bother you for the most part. But it really irks me that we're losing all that tax revenue to Illinois and Michigan, where tons of Sconnies cross the border every day to score at a dispensary.

Is it backwards because it is the opposite of what you want? How about start with toll booths in Wisconsin. Look at all the money that would bring in.

There is an entire state northwest of us called Minnesota that is filled with Democrats. It's not legal there either. I'm not sure a lot of people are aware of this in Madison, but there is a "United States" around Madison.

To be even more fair, the one entity in a position to legalize weed, or prostitution or gambling for that matter, is indeed controlled by the GOP, I. E. The Wisconsin Legislature, and they will control it for a very long time thanks to very effective gerrymandering. And the WI GOP is run by a combination of extremists who think fun is evil and pro-business fanatics who will do whatever the likes of the Tavern League tells them. And the Tavern League doesn't want legal weed competing with their legal booze. So don't expect anything fun besides alcohol to be legal in this state during our lifetime.

Because if weed was legal so many more would be joining in? It would still be way cheaper for people to get it thru whoever they get it from than a dispensary. Don't be stupid to have so much on you at one time, or openly puff away in public, and there will not be an issue.

It's not just about the price, though. Convenience of being able to pop over to the Weedmart whenever you want, the quality is consistent, and you get to choose from a bunch of different varieties that provide different buzzes. It's like living during Prohibition--sure, you could still drink and only get in trouble if you were smuggling or producing large amounts, but as a consumer you had to make due with whatever bathtub swill was around at that moment.

The current governor supports the legalization of marijuana but the Republicans, who have an overwhelming majority in both chambers, won't even bring it to the floor to at least discuss it.

I've been in Europe for about a week now. I just don't understand the US's standpoint on prostitution.

I've been to brothels in South America, Australia, Asia and now Europe. It's all pretty much the same deal. The girls are never high. The rates are far more reasonable that STG rates. You get to pick from a lineup typically. The girls are clean and even have documentation to prove it. Everything is regulated.

I've been to a place in Germany a couple times now. Super hot Romanian girls. 100 Euros, which is 100 dollars US.

I used to use TextNow. I'd never keep an account for very long so that I could constantly keep changing my number. I had no desire to stay in touch with most providers. Also, I prefer the Groundhog Day experience. I'd rarely see someone after the first interaction. I preferred to try from different numbers, over time, and see how consistent their responses were. Anyway, I gave up on TextNow because I found my accounts were suspended for violating their terms of service. So I switched to TextFree. Used them problem free for years. Only recently, TextFree began suspending my accounts. Also, I've heard from various providers that their accounts are also being suspended.

For example, Jada mentioned this last night. Her 608-719-xxxx number. She can no longer send texts from it, so she'll likely abandon that number? She replied to my attempts from a different number. Just as I was about to reply to her, my account got suspended. LOL.

My textnow number was taken away several months ago, lost the phone number to my regular UTR friend, did not have the number written down anywhere else. Did not want to dispute the suspension.

Google voice has been reliable option for me recently, but they require you to confirm your recovery phone number every few months. They block the free text number websites from confirming your recovery phone number. Been using a burner phone to confirm the google voice text number. Do not want to link the google voice number to my personal cell phone number. Google allowed me to confirm from the burner phone with a different number, have this fear that google will lock me out if I keep changing my confirmation number.
