This is very important for you to have. Stay inbounds cause outside may not be safe. Sorry but you will have to piece together.

I remember reading a TJ mongering board a while back that said you *might* be able to use a camera. Show respect though and always ask a barman if it would be okay to take photos and offer to show them to him in case they want any deleted. As for the girls, it was reported that some girls won't mind having photos taken for an extra $5-$10 if you don't show her face. Tell her it's for you to remember her by, not for your pervy internet buddies!
Wallet...when traveling in dicey areas here or international and while out hiking, I use the Amphipod Micropack (bought it at the main REI in Denver)
http://amphipod.com/155/155.html
It'a a pouch that fits inside your pants and then clips securely to your waistband. It's never been pickpocketed yet! It holds money, credit cards, DLs, passports etc. I recommend you take your cash, passport and maybe one credit card if you're going to also make it a shopping trip and plan on getting something expensive.

Hey fellas,
I did a little more of RTFF (more than yesterday) and have a couple questions.
Cigars: I read this place is a certified Cuban dealer, La Casa Del Habano. Is there a place anyone can vouch for cubans in the Zona Roja? I plan on using a credit card for this purchase.
Adelitas: How do you pronounce this? So I can tell a cab how to get to it?
Hong Kong: I'm going to check out this new place since their renovations and report back.
Chicago Club: I cant fuck all the time so I'll check this out too.
Photos: Whats the thought on taking a digital camera with me? Bad idea? Good idea? My fellow mongers in Denver would appreciate the pics I think. A camera phone works but I got a nice dig camera that is awesome. I dont want to be the village idiot with the camera but I'm going by myself.
Wallet situation: I dont have much experience with brothels. Mostly streetwalkers, AMPs, escorts. Do you have a strategy for your wallet? Empty it out and take just want you need? How careful are you?
Pesos: Any reason to get pesos?
I plan on hitting everything and making a fun record of my adventure there. I'll probably drop a cialis on the way in and have a boner for the next 5 hours while I'm there. Going for the record!!
Its too bad I dont know anyone down there. I have no problem getting a hooker by myself, its just the hanging out part which would be fun to have a buddy with. If anyone is available, shoot me a PM on the usa site via mtnman2000. If any of you goto Denver, look me up.
Go Broncos!!!!! Haha.
Cobra: thanks and we can go another time, get your passport!

Cali native here... Nice that Adelitas and Chicago are still going strong after all these years. Had a trip to SD in March but couldn't get down to TJ.
Crossing the border back into the USA requires proof of citizenship:
passport book
passport card
other DHS/State Dept approved travel document like SENTRI, NEXXUS etc
The combo of DL + official birth certificate will be valid for land and sea entries until mid 2009 after then, you have to get one of the above.
The good news is State Dept has introduced a passport card. It is only good for land and sea border crossings back into the USA but if you're in the SoCal area or cross into Canada or Mexico a lot, this DL sized card is handy and more sturdy than the passport book.
Any US citizen can get one, I have a regular passport book but I'm getting the card as well even though I live in Colorado. For those instances where I'm required/demanded to show ID, I prefer IDs that don't show my address like the passport card.
Oh and the best part of the passport card ...the fee is $20 if you already have a passport but if you're getting a passport for the first time, then it's $45 as opposed to $100 for a first time passport book.

Happy hunting. Will report the next time I make it to TJ which I intend to do even if I have to, uh, "miss" my flight and spend another night.

Hey fellas,
I'm going to San Diego this Thursday and leaving Saturday night.
I want to goto TJ Thursday afternoon/night and Friday night. I'm renting a car most likely while in town and will stay on one of the border towns.
Looking for someone to join me.
Edit: I mean I'm looking for someone to hang with and cross the border with. This is my first time in TJ and I'm going off the guide entirely.

I've almost memorized the newbie's guide. What are the Sunday hours for the various bars in ZN? (I did a quick search of the TJ Intl forum using "hours of operation" and didn't get anything). I'm going to have Sunday open for exploring south of the border, thinking about in the afternoon. I won't have time to play any other day as my stay in SD is short. I realize the selection may not be so great on a Sunday and not quite the typical nighttime hustle and bustle. It will be my first visit to TJ.
Thanks for the help!

Posts: 3You do not need a passport but you do need a driver's license and a certified birth certificate. It needs to have a stamped seal to show that's it's real. The poster who was worried about catching STD's from oral sex , there's a simple solution: wear a raincoat. That way you will have no worries. TJ is always an adventure. The nice thing about Tj is no legal worries. Be cool don't bring or use any drugs and you'll be fine. Those websites have all the info a newbie needs to venture over there.

I have to register a complaint about the Adelita Bar though. It seems that the 'knocks' on the hotel door are coming earlier and earlier. They can be quite persistant and I have had up to 3 knocks while finishing my business. This is very annoying.
I was told that at Chicago Club you take as long as you need, though the report seems to indicate they may just be a bit more lax on knocking. A group of us are going very soon and were thinking about trying Chicago for a change. If anyone can provide more info on this, it would be great.
As for Adelitas and the whole scene down there, the question I get asked most often is if the girls are really that hot. The answer, yes. I have brought many doubting people to TJ and they were amazed and drooling over the women. You will find the girl of your dreams here. Two other tips not to be understated is to be clear on everything before going to the hotel. This includes if all of their clothes will be removed. I have had girls refuse to fully remove their tops for some odd reason. The other tip is to have $1 ready upon leaving your room. If the room guy does not remind you, the guy at the front desk will and the girl will as well. Be ready to give it to the guy walking the halls as a tip.
There seems to be a lot of questions about security as well. I recently looked into this and I follow events in TJ as close as I can. They had a few high profile shootouts last year between drug gangs. The TJ police were corrupt and there were many problems. This, along with new re-entry requirements to the US, have dropped tourism in TJ about 95%. This is affecting all of TJ. They brought in the federal police and are doing everything to keep TJ safe. I am told that is has never been safer.
While I do not have any reservations about going here, read and follow the guide. You still do not want to wander off into areas not outlined in the guide or try to walk to the zona to save $5.
If anyone has any other thoughts on crime problems here recently, please let me know.

Drove down to San Ysidro & walked across (about 12:30 p. M.). Went to Zona Norte and saw about 40-50 SWs in waiting. Made the loop twice, doing a little window shopping. Decided on a little spinner in front of Nuevo Rio Rosas on Coahuila av. Long black hair, 4'11, 95# & 32Bs. We agreed on BJ & FS for. 20. The room was. 03. She wanted an extra. 05 to get naked. The BJ was average at best, we then switched to doggie & it was great-very tight. Her name was Jakaline (sic? ) & she did not rush. Would rate her looks as 9. When we finished up, she cleaned me & we started getting dressed. She went into the bathroom and squatted over the stool (no door) and started to wizz. I'm like WTF, this little gal literaly pissed 2 quarts! I finished dressing and got the hell out, still LOL. As a side note, about 1/3 of the Police were armed, but I would not make the walk after dark because of all the stuff going on. I stopped at a Taco rest. On Calle Primera, 3 fish tacos & 2 Caronas =$5. With a smile on my face, it was back across the border. Cost of my "trip", girl=25, room=3, tacos& beer=5 parking at the Gateway inn=4. Total cost=37, Mongering on a Monday afternoon= Priceless. Have fun & be safe.

From everything I've read about "helpers" you got lucky. Usually the only thing they do is help themselves to your money or help you go to jail.
Stay clear of these types they are often nothing but trouble.

I was able to recently visit TJ from a land far away. The TJ Guide below is right on the button. I used the trolly to get to and from the border. The yellow taxi's and the bars were right where the guide said they would be.
The only thing I can add that did not seem to be in the guide were the street girls. There had to be at least 100 girls standing against the buildings within a 2 block square in the described Zona Norte. Granted, a few were 0's and 1's, with a few on the other end of the scale at 8 to 9's. The average seemed to be a 6 to a 7. The ages seemed to average in the high teens to low twenties. I did see one or two that could not have been more than 14 and a few more that were looked 16ish. I went into the bars noted in the guide, but the chicas in there seemed to be about the same that was on the street. There may have been a few in the bars that were far and above all the others, but it was hot in the bar and nice outside, so did not stay long in any of them.
After walking around a bit, a "Helper" found us. He spoke very good english, and said his name was Johnathan. Since I don't speak Spanish, I wanted to get a little bit of info from him such as prices, menu, rooms, etc. So I pointed at a girl, and said how much for her? He said, for 20 plus 5 for the room, she would be partially nude in mishionary, no oral. For multilple positions and oral, the girl would be 30 plus 5 for the room. He also had a little bit of insight into how well each of the girls performed.
I was having a bit of sensory overload, but I did finally make a decision and picked one that seemed to be having a little fun. Johnathan told her what I wanted, and the price was set. She took me by the hand and led me upstairs to a small window. I paid the man 5 and he handed her a towel. We then walked down a hallway to a small room. I was pleasantly surprised to find room reasonalbly clean, with a shower and a sink in a little side room. They even gave her a condom in the towel that I had not seen.
We got down to business after some small talk with her little English and my little Spanish. She said she was 21. I could tell that this wasn't her first rodeo. After about half an hour, I had to let explode into her. She was worth every penny. After dressing, I gave her 30 and she came back down to the street with me. I gave Johnathan 5 and bid him farewell.
Cost breakdown:
All Day Trolly Pass: $5.00
Taxi to and from Zona Norte: $10.00
TJ Room: $5.00
Rodeo Chica: $30.00
Helper Tip: $5.00
I ended up about an hour later feeling the need again, so I opted for another rodeo. A 19 year old spinner from Mexico City with great nips. My total cash outlay, with drinks, was $100. I was extremely happy, and I recommend you at least see for yourself. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Enjoy and Play Safe!!

Posts: 2Sex in the bar HJ
Can I get a hJ in the bar and save a few bucks? Is oral sex safe, or resonantly safe to avoide STDs? I did this before without problem but I don't want an STD. I have found them to be extreamly painful and embarrassing to get cured.
Whatever the risk may be worth the pleasure.
PS: WTF is wrong with the land of the free? I live in a bullshit nation.
