I've been driving by this place for years but never stopped by until today. Unassuming white standalone building on Lincoln / Walker. Paid. 5 for 30 minutes. Very curious. I doubt that law enforcement shut them down. Downey has 5 or 6 AMPs that have been in business there for 25-30 years. I don't live in Downey anymore, but I did for 22 years. Hopefully it's a temporary thing and not a permanent closure. We will see.

EDIT: Seems that they're open. I texted them and they replied back with pictures of today's providers. I'm not intending to go up there today but they are seemingly alive and well. Don't know what to say about their IG.

Lack of proper sterilization of cupping instruments is a recipe for transmission of blood borne pathogens such as Hepatitis B (which is why legit spas providing the service have to pay higher insurance premiums. Some dumbass employee gets lazy and takes a cleaning shortcut and you have a major issue on your hands). I can tell you almost for certain that no AMP is following proper protocols or carrying the proper liability insurance. So bottom line, don't get cupping service at an AMP. Far too risky.
