I know my words don't help now but over the decades, as with others here, I scope out the room. Even before that, I try to learn if the girl has friends or roommates. Ask, check reviews, check parking lots and hallways. Always be on the lookout and be prepared to bailout at anytime. Don't trust anyone. Not for the money alone but for health, sanity, and property.
