The original owner had two other places in cville now closed, and Geneva sold to new owners. Brought over on tourists visas to work for them which from the get go is illegal. Your $60 netted the girl a whopping $10.

They already employ 4500 people at the main plant and probably another 500 or more at their local supplier plants. Can't imagine 400 more would make a difference, most that probably already live in Northern Illinois already. Nah, this probably had little-to-nothing to do with the busts. As others have said, the bible-thumpers finally got city officials to listen to their demands that Belvidere 'clean up' these nasty businesses. Why the # they can't leave well enough alone, that's not something I'd even begin to guess at.
