I'd be lying if I said I never tried to negotiate a donation in the past although it was rare when I did it. I will say this, its only been one time where I was actually told no. Not taking circumstances of the provider into account when I say this, but personality really does go a long way for these women, or at least it has for my experience. Providers in the past, on their own accord, have lowered my donation on the strength of that alone.
