I just posted the explanation to the original post. When you take picture of your image in a mirror your image gets reversed. There isn't any trickery going on.

If you take a picture with a smart phone's front camera it will take a pic of you one way, but if you use the selfie feature or a mirror it will flip the image. Same girl in all of those pics.
