COVENTRY TWP. — Two people from Coventry Township have been charged in connection with the suspected fatal overdose of a man, officials said.

The sheriff's office and the Coventry Township Fire Department were called Sept. 12 to Swartz Road for a report of an unresponsive, partially naked man.

He was found in the yard of a residence and showed no signs of life, according to the sheriff's office. The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was eventually identified as Dead Guy, 28.

Gary G, chief investigator for the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, said results are pending for toxicology tests.

An obituary for Dead Guy said he died of a drug overdose. His obituary also said he was a 2010 graduate of Lakeside High School in Ashtabula County and enjoyed fixing and working on bicycles, playing pool with his brothers and spending time with his family.

Investigators determined Dead Guy had recently visited K Escort, 28, of Coventry Township, at the Swartz Road residence. The sheriff's office said Hayes was offering sexual services for hire while working from the home.

The homeowner, Home Owner, 31, participated in and profited from the sexual services provided at the house, the sheriff's office said.

According to the sheriff's office, Dead Guy is believed to have consumed illegal drugs at the residence before his death. After Dead Guy died, Home Owner, and Kescort are suspected of dragging his body outside and spending the next several hours disposing of his personal belongings and removing evidence, deputies said. Hayes fled the residence before the sheriff's office arrived, authorities said.

A search warrant was conducted at the residence. Numerous chemicals and items used to manufacture the drug dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a Schedule I hallucinogen, were found inside the house, the sheriff's office said, with the Summit County Drug Unit assisting in collecting the materials related to manufacturing DMT.

A marijuana cultivation operation also was found in the basement, the sheriff's office said.

Kescort was arrested Tuesday and Home Owner on Thursday; both were charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

The two were booked into the Summit County Jail. Additional charges were pending the outcome of the investigation, the sheriff's office said.

According to Barberton Municipal Court records, arraignments for Both are scheduled for 1 pm Wednesday.
