I found that using priceline & the express deals, if you are willing to be flexible on location, Buckhead / Perimeter / Downtown then you could get a room for $80 to $100 a night at a 4 star hotel. With Taxes & valet it would be around $120 a night. If you are part of a rewards program, getting a room upgrade was almost automatic also, my last couple of trips I stayed at the Weston in Buckhead for $82 a night & had a corner jr. Suite. I could never go back to the red roof in or motel 6 to save $40.
