I had nearly an identical response as HS a few days back. I was going to give it a shot, and after 15 minutes she told me it was taking too long to figure it out and to not bother contacting her anymore. Less than an hour after I had first texted her. Her phone may be blowing up, but I'm guessing a good portion of those aren't serious about making an appointment. I don't know why people do that. It just makes it harder for the rest of us.

I may try again and see if she's cooled down.

Yeah, barging in like some oaf and demanding what someone else got is not the most effective strategy.

We shouldn't expect what someone else got. Still, the more information I have, the better. I like knowing what's possible. It helps me negotiate. I still have to actually work it.

All of us have to negotiate our own deals. The "rack rate" is not always what is actually settled on. There could be a problem if Monger A gets a good deal because the girl's rent was due and Monger B tries to get the same deal the next week. And, as flaky as the female of the species tends to be, the price point could change from one hour to the next.
