Most are only good as Walk-In rates, but if you print a bunch up for the area, then call the day of, they'll tell you if they have rooms available for that rate.

What do you consider "cheap"? Most of the hotels on the south shore are $80 to $120 a night. You can usually get something through priceline for around $60 to $70.

Route 1 in the Foxborough area has quite a few for around $50 (as long as there's nothing going on at the stadium) , but they're crack motels, and not really south shore either.

This is sound advice. When I find a gem in the AAMP scene, I make sure I get her cell number. They move around a lot. I've seen one in about three or four different locations in eastern Mass. She says the boss ladies don't let them stay in one place for more than two weeks. They do their tour and then move on.
