I definitely agree with that. My issue is I have to drive at least an hour to get to Huntsville, so, having already invested at least 2 hours of drive time and the $10 in fuel just to get there, I'm usually more patient, but it's worn very thin lately. That's why I find it so disrespectful. If I were just sitting at home in Huntsville and could wait until they say they're ready before heading out, then it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I've got serious time and a little cash already invested when I'm out hobbying.

Maybe we need to start a "Time Waster / Ghoster" forum like we have for the rip-off artists. That way hobbiests can go there and see who has a reputation when thinking about seeing someone.

Either way, I just don't understand. It's like only occasionally showing up to work and then complaining about not having money and begging for money. I do understand that things come up and there are babysitters and the like involved, but just be a grown up and tell me! In fact when there are delays, since I've already got time and money invested, communication becomes even more important and appreciated.

Oh well. Off my soapbox. It boils down to there being a huge difference in customer service between the mature professionals and the amateurs!

I understand being late, I've been late (very few though) but I've always communicated the whole time.

The ghosting, no-shows, and clockwatchers is ridiculous and needs to be posted so they can get blacklisted. Things happen, but when you have responded all this time just for when the time comes, you all of a sudden lose your phone, double booked, accidentally got high and passed out. There's zero tolerance for that. It gives the good ones a bad name and they're looking for someone, but can't because most of the hobbyist is too jaded because of the bad ones.
