And if you do John Are, I advise against going as a first timer on a Sunday from 8 am till at least 1:30 pm, there are quite a few churches, and services, with security and people consistently on the main road.

The typical run is Mich Ave from Middlebelt to Beech Day (south side) centered around the notels at either end. However, LEO and the county mounties had stepped up patrols and stings in the area, making it quiet for the past couple years. Things have been picking up a little lately on the Beech side of the run, but that's going to end quick once the new local station goes active. Besides that, there's rarely anything out that you'd even think twice to pick up, and local boys are always out making stops hazardous, to the point that MSP can even be spotted in the area on occasion. Most places you can pull into, you're closed in, and the side streets accessed off the main road are much further apart, complicated further by the railroad tracks just south of Mich Ave. All in all, the thing you missed is that it's pretty much just an area to avoid altogether.

I'll check out the triangle next run. It's the first spot I can hit on the way down. It looks like there were a lot of cops a few months ago based on the reports.
