Out this cold morning and swing by the are. Just as I pass the liquor store south of 8 this hot brown / brunette strolls across in black boots and tight pants. I do agree that children should not be exposed to The SW activity if that is indeed the case, however the video does not show any direct evidence! This report reminds me of years ago when Archer called in the Feds to help with police corruption in SW Det and while the officers and detectives were suspended awaiting trial people complained to the news that SW's were standing in front of businesses in broad day light with no police response! It was due to that news report I discovered the Vernor stroll!
I drive the are every morning as I cut through for work and most times its 2-3 times mainly during the hours that the kids are on their way to school. I have yet to see any SW's out in any of the areas where kids catch the buses or on their routes while walking to school. They may pass a girl walking on one of the side streets but as often as I drive it the AM, I have not seen it once. Occasionally further down the are a couple blocks north of 6 I may see one or two or further up by SF, but there are no bus stops or kids walking in those areas. So, I believe that they do use some discretion about where and what times they work and figure at least some of them have kids and understand this. I believe this why you do not see kids and SW's in the same shots. It's all for sensationalizing the news. I understand that residents are upset but I don't think it has anything to do with SW's being out while the kids are going to school. IMHO.

A lot of new posters on the Detroit site recently. I hope you are aware of the political necessity to follow up on the promise to do something news worthy. There is a new (relative speaking) high priced dept. Head at DPD. He has promised results and he has a plan to deliver. There is not much of an easier way to generate revenue and publicity than through vehicle seizure by prostitution stings. The heavier garments common at this time of year make it easier to conceal identity of uncle. There was promise of ride alongs to news 4 don't be careless enough to be that nights' news.

I remember having a couple of close calls where I was chatting with a SW and dpd drives by giving me the stink eye, by the time the cruiser rolled down the street I was already beating a path to I 75 north out of there! I tend to think now maybe it wasn't the residents that made that call, it was possibly a few ex-vice cops callled in a few favors and some creative editing by channel 4 and blam! I expect him to be kicking down doors on cops tv soon. Look for a big hooker john bust soon for the local TV, our boy dietz said he was going to be doing a ride along with dpd. This might even include notel crackdowns. The good thing is I don't think bennies boys will be involved, unless somebody is chipping in for gas for the barney fife mobiles.
