Besides the Viking I would use the Temple and I believe it was called the Blackstone on second. I remember going to this house, one block over from Cass. I had to pass on everything because LEO was everywhere.

Oh, on the way home at 5 pm, not a thing on US12 in Ypsilanti either.

It's been awhile for me getting out on the hunt, but was able to get out Sunday early morning on the southwest side. Between 6 & 8 am, just before dawn, maybe 35-40 degrees outside. Woodmere & Vernor area was pretty busy. Had to be 6 to 8 wsw out & about. They were working the Vernor area in the shadows, don't know if the street lights are on a plan to be shut off or they just wern't working. Very light traffic, no leo to be found in the area. Didn't want to settle so early, went to McGraw, Michigan area and found more sw's working the streets, again light traffic & no leo in the area.

I thought the better quality was in the Vernor & Woodmere area. Worked my way back to the area. Went to the area of Fort, nothing. The house on Green south of Fort where I have had lots of luck before has been fire bombed. The house if boarded up, damn! Went back to the Woodmere area and found Allie. Nice wsw, very good skills. Will certainly be looking for her again. As normal, no digits right now.

When the Sun came up the S.W.'s disappeared like the night. Forgot, there was a wsw near the corner of Fort & Springwell by the gas station. Had one of the best bodies I have seen out on the street. It was dark, I couldn't see the face. Came back around the corner and she was gone. Right about 7 am., looked like guys were on there way to work to Zug Island and someone grabbed her up. Like to have explored her a little more.

Well, as a non-participating monger, this is more about who I see out there than anything else. I was again in the Vernor-Woodmere area on business, and decided to stroll after my meeting. Again, I saw this pair of women, one looked like she could be the others mother! The mother was maybe a 6+, but the younger one is really kinda cute 8+. This time the younger one was agressive with me, trying to get me to stop. I enjoy a strange woman as much as the next, but the thought of getting pulled over is too overwhelming to me, as it has happened to me in the past (couple years ago). She seemed ok, but I am not sure how to spot LEO. Sure, if you see a marked car, that is easy, but my experience is the unmarked cars are those that really get after us mongers!

I spent 2.5 hours cruising SW on Wed. from 2 pm until almost 5 pm. I didn't see anything (except the one leg lady on McGraw). There was a house burning, which was pretty cool, off of US12 near Central (actually behind the CVS). They closed down some side streets with fire trucks.

Fort was dead. Woodmere had nothing. Vernior had zip. US12 was bare. I vaguely recall some super ugly blonde chick standing next to the one-legged lady on McGraw next to the yellow party store. The 40'ish, WSW, blonde was heavy, nasty hair and aggressive in giving the hooker stare/glance. I enjoyed the driving nonetheless. Disappointed.

I learned a lesson though: its not worth your time to monger when school is letting out. You can't sort out the bystanders from the game.

I usually stroll the Fort; from the bridge down to Springwells. Then jump back on Fort and Outer area after work every night after 11pm. My last trip I ran into WSW. I am not exactly sure of the name, but the girls call it the Victory. Its the motel on the West side of US24 just South of Grand River, across from the cemetary. Its one block east of Wormer. Hope that helps.

Visited US-12 from Ypsi to Detroit (Livernois); In the Am (8:30) and again around 5:30. It was dead, and HEAVY LEO presence in Inkster (about 6-7 traffic stops at same time)

Saw nothing. Paid special attention to the bus depot in Ypsi, but saw nothing in that area.

I got hauled into a police car for being in the area. I was dropping a friend off at his house between 6 and 7mile when LE pulled up wanting to know what I was doing there. I didn't even get a word out when they had me get out of the car, to check the it and see it I had any warrants. Ill stay away from that area and I don't even want to drop my buddy off at his house again. Lucky I was the DD for the night, a beer or two and I probably would of been in lockup.

Plan on doing some scouting in the next hour. Will try to give Meme a call and see if her digits are working. Heard her phone got stolen, but its worth a shot. She's getting good reviews on PM. Hopefully US24 isn't too congested.

I had a similar incident south of 8 mile and Schoenherr area late at night.
They made it clear I was pulled over because I was "white"(they said from the suburbs) and in the area late at night. This is "reverse" racial profiling, at least in my case. Eventually they will do this to the wrong person.

I've posted some crazy stories with LE and some tight calls. Yet to be arrested or ticketed. I credit the intell this site provides.

I love the mongering part of the hobby, but it really makes sense to strike up a bench of regulars with decent digits. Roam the streets for looking, but I'd stay clear of picking them up. LE is looking for $$$.

If I do pickup, I usually know the girl. I've done my recon and know who belongs where. Look for two trucks, regular LE cars, and unmarked in any color. And, stick to your story. Do not admit to anything. One thing that has worked for me is printing out some real estate ads in the general area I plan to monger. Any crazy u-turns or out of place white guy could be explained as looking for some investment property in the hood.

Lastly, keep your car in good legal standing. Take the blunts out, have the documents handy. Check all your lights before heading out. Buckle up. RTFF about the area and the rules.

And, as the past couple posters highlight, be somewhat willing to get put in the back of a squad car. Consider having 2k for the backup plan and a change of address form handy for the PO box.

The premise of them pulling me over was I did not look like I belong there. I am white but I grew up in the area and still have friends there. I do monger there from time to time. A few years back while at my uncles on 8 and Schoenherr I went to one of the party store with my sister and had them pull me over after she got out of the store and got into my car. It's all about the money. LE doesn't protect us from crime, they protect the criminals from us. Without crime, LE becomes a target for budget cuts. As long as LE is bringing in revenue, they won't be cut. I'll never forget Rodney King. LEO is big and bad when there are 6 of them gang beating an unarmed man. When the street people are pulling a truck driver out of his truck and beating him, LEO is nowhere to be found. They "serve and protect", the serve their own interests and protect their own chicken shit asses.

What the fuck has happened to Michigan Ave? That used to be the mecca of SW's quality SW's. I have cruised Michigan on and off for a few months now and it has been a waste land. Are there any new strolls that are like Michigan used to be?

Went by 6 mile and Grand River area and didn't see anything. Nada.

Cruised around Tele and 6-7 mile and GR. All I saw was a black LE car. Hard to sort out the civilians from the SW's. But, I don't think there was anything to be had from what I saw. Thinking of getting a room at that motel and camping out for a night. Look pretty dangerous in that area though.

Regarding the stroll along Michigan, it has been on the decline for years. In the early 90's I drove a delivery truck in the area and the Ave was crawling with SW's. Heavy pressure from area merchants to clean up the area brought stings and sweeps and forced many of the ladies off the street. They can still be found, in lesser numbers and of lesser quality on some of the side streets North of the Ave. Watch out for dead end streets and keep your with about you. The best hunting is mid morning. The area bars, Jacob's ,At Work, Cas Bar are also good places to hit for the Barroom Floozies (washed up drunks) who will work for drinks! The bartenders are great sources of info. If she is in the bar at 9:30 on a weekday there is a good chance that she is open to almost anything.
