The Detroit Police Department has been running sting operations on John are all year. More than I have seen in the past. Primarily these stings take place in 2 areas. After they arrest you, they take you to the church parking lot for processing. Of course, they take your car. You walk out of there with a ticket in your pocket. The court date notice will show up in the mailbox.
At 7:55 PM Friday night I turned north off 6 Mile onto John Are. Immediately saw a tow truck (Nevada Towing) that had a big, black freshly washed Dodge Ram hooked to the bed and a late model black sedan hooked behind. It was turning east on 6 Mile. My senses immediately went on high alert.
Nothing out until saw a WSW. A little on the heavy side. Come strolling out of the first street south of 7 Mile to take up a position. Didn't see any backups. Kept going to 8 Mile. Got gas. There are a couple of SWs on GR I've seen past week or so that seem to spend most of their time sitting on a ledge by the veterinary office, but once in a while stand on the corner or walk a half block or so on Lenore or Fenton. One is a bit thick, dark hair, the other a thin short-haired redhead. There's also a very large unattractive (to me) blonde who walks regularly back and forth by the notel.
