Thursday night I had a dream about Carmen. It was about 4am, and she was around elsmere between fort and vernor. Not the best looking, but in my dream, she was to the point, and I was on my way. Stay clear! I got stopped this morning, issued a complaint and vehicle impounded. You will never catch me again doing anything again. Anyone know what I can expect as far as court and vehicle redemption? Was thinkin bout getting a lawyer but really wanted to keep things on the QT.

To get your car out of impound it's $1000 to $1,500 in most citys where did you get hit? The Complaint what did it say on it?
You should get the car out today because you will get hit storage fees by the day and it is high price.
Get a lawyer to handel it for you.

Detroit - Wayne County

wording on the complaint was on the carbon copy and I can't make it out (officer put it in my pocket folded up while I was still in cuffs) Will have to wait for the letter in the mail with court date. Municipal Code of the city of detroit listed on the complaint was 38-5-1.

Have to wait till thur to get vehicle out at the earliest by what the officers told me

I was at the Citgo getting gas 8mile and Regent when this Latina I think walks buy. About a 7-8 on the scale she gave me the look but I did not partake she walked down Regent a guy in a nice pickup waved at her and I think picked her up. Anyone else seen this one?

Basicly what is going to happen. You have to pay two fines. One to the city of detroit and the other to the county sheriff. You must pay the one to the city first as they will give you a release form to take to the county sheriff building. I had to pay $1500 to the city then an additional $1000 to the sheriff. Once you pay the sheriff, they will give you another release form to take to the impound yard to get your vehicle. You will then have to pay the impound fee to get your vehicle which was $300 for me.

Here is the problem I have with the whole situation. If you decide to fight the charge, you will lose your vehicle, why you ask? When you contact the city court about your car and case they will inform you of a 3 day waiting period before you can pay the fine or enter a complaint and ask to fight the charge in court. This is where the problem is, your court date will be 2-3 months down the road, the impound yard only holds the vehicles for 30 days and then they are auctioned off to pay the cost of impound and towing fee's.

My suggestion to you, suck it up and pay the fines and mark it up as experience in this sometimes costly hobby we partake in. I had to and I am sure others have also.

You may be getting lucky on this one. Here is the code if 38-5-1 is correct.

Curious;
Where you just in the area, or were you giving a passenger a ride?
Which Department (DPD, I assume from other comments)?
Which cross streets are on the complaint?

With LE and the the threat of being robbed during this recession, picking up hookers just isn't worth the thrill anymore.

Stroll Date; 6/8/09-Tuesday
Time; 1-5pm
Weather; Lo 70's, Clear and Dry, Sunny (perfect stroll weather)

I was in RECON only mode on Tuesday, and decided to take advantage of the beautiful day. I started my stroll in the “D” on Mich Ave cruising between Wyoming and Livernois (or maybe a little east of Livernois). Saw 2 WSW, one looked late20's early 30’s, with shoulder length sandy brown hair. She was wearing pink Capri pants, and had a nice thin figure, maybe, 5-4, 115 pounds, B cups, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. She stayed mostly within a block West or East of Livernois. At one point she poked her head in the passenger side of stopped car and chatted with the driver for a few minutes. That seemed odd and not discreet to me.

The other WSW I saw was taller, maybe 5-8 or 9, with what looked like C cupped puppies. She was thinner, so maybe 110 pounds on her taller frame, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. Noticeable feature here is the bleach blonde hair with almost black roots underneath, I mean the hair under the blonde hair is black, so it's noticeable if she moves her head, or her hair blows. I couldn’t tell if she needed a crack-ho hair dye, or if it was on purpose. Pics are of this gal. She was between Central and Martin.

I spent the rest of the day cruising most of the known STROLLS in the SOUTHWEST “D” area; Vernor (nothing), Fort by the bridge, and Fort by Oakwood. Did see a WSW strutting it on Fort between Schaefer and Outer Drive in her 30's for sure, red top with gold sequins, brown should length hair maybe a 3-4 on the SW scale. Had a woman blow me a kiss, but I’m not sure if she was a BSW or not. Also cruised, Schaefer, Jefferson, FORT and DIX between Southfield and Schaefer nothing.

Also made a pass into Ypsi, where Lesley was out, but that was it.

All in all, about 4 hours of time, to see only a half dozen or so. Slow day, but the weather was beautiful and LEO was very light in the “D”, some of the border towns it was more noticeable.

Wow, Prowler, sorry to hear of this. I said the same thing when i got busted. that was 22 years ago. My retirement lasted about 30 days.

Can you share more? Do they take you to jail? I notice you were handcuffed. What about your possessions in the car? Do they also take those? Again, I apologize for prying, but it would be nice for us to know.

They handcuff you and put you in the back of the car while they fill out the report, your tickets and wait for the tow truck to leave with your vehicle. After that, they let you out of the car, uncuff you and tell you to have a safe walk.

My possessions were left in the car and they made sure to inform me they are not responsible if anything was to come up missing.
