I know I will break down eventually but I will be nervous as hell thinking about the car. Just can't afford anything crazy to happen anymore with this economy and constantly wondering if I will have a job. The last 7 years have been rough but things are looking up. Most people I know are back to work.

Those black cops in Detroit are more racist than any white people.

They can pull you over on any pretext (you didn't signal a turn or lane change, you were "weaving," it looked like your mirror or brake light wasn't right) , question you and ticket you for any of the phantom moving violations, in which case it's your word against theirs and you're in a high-SW neighborhood far from where you live. Think a judge will give you a break? At least, that's the fear LEO is trying to plant in your head.

I try to be careful what time I'm in these places. Not too busy is best.

I probably stick out like a sore thumb when I am driving over there. I was lucky not to get pulled over for silly shit. While driving there I made sure to drive slowly and signal everywhere I went.

The best thing to do is to make your car is in good working order and obey all traffic laws. If the cops pull you over remain silent.

Pretty much the cop said to me this is our area you don't belong here. Wisely I kept my mouth shut. I have a court date coming up on the ticket and can hope the cop doesn't show.

Rolling down Telegraph this morning (11ish) saw a WSW near W. Chicago. Definitely working, even in the rain. A little on the thick side, but only a little.

I have seen SW's in this area (and down by the Kroger) several times over the last few years, usually in the summer months. Maybe they have always been there, but in the warm months they are easier to identifiy.

Anyone made connection regularly on this route?

Got a call from one of my old regulars on Monday. I haven't seen her since she moved and the digits stopped working. I was working, so we agreed to meet up later in the day at her new place. Was really looking forward to catching up on old times with her, especially since she is an enthusiastic penetration freak.

Must of been a rough day for her, because when I finally got there she introduced me to her friend, Devon, who was to *handle* the business. O. K, I figured, this is the first time I've been subcontracted to another provider. But what the hell. Almost a complete starfish, I am sad to report. Next time I'll reschedule for the real deal.

Funny this was, Devon was the same WSW who popped up east of Telegraph early that morning, while I was finishing up a recon trip before work. Pouring rain, nobody around, and there she is all of the sudden. I don't know how many of you guys were in the resulting feeding frenzy, but I bugged out after trying to get close to her 3 times. Too many friggin headlights, not enough visibility to know if one set of them was uncle Leo or not.

To whoever scooped this one in the rain, I hope it was better for you than it was for me.
