Which Department (DPD, I assume from other comments)?
Which cross streets are on the complaint?

My suggestion to you, suck it up and pay the fines and mark it up as experience in this sometimes costly hobby we partake in. With LE and the the threat of being robbed during this recession, picking up hookers just isn't worth the thrill anymore.
Stroll Date; 6/8/09-Tuesday
Time; 1-5pm
Weather; Lo 70's, Clear and Dry, Sunny (perfect stroll weather)
I was in RECON only mode on Tuesday, and decided to take advantage of the beautiful day. I started my stroll in the “D” on Mich Ave cruising between Wyoming and Livernois (or maybe a little east of Livernois). Saw 2 WSW, one looked late20's early 30’s, with shoulder length sandy brown hair. She was wearing pink Capri pants, and had a nice thin figure, maybe, 5-4, 115 pounds, B cups, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. She stayed mostly within a block West or East of Livernois. At one point she poked her head in the passenger side of stopped car and chatted with the driver for a few minutes. That seemed odd and not discreet to me.
The other WSW I saw was taller, maybe 5-8 or 9, with what looked like C cupped puppies. She was thinner, so maybe 110 pounds on her taller frame, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. Noticeable feature here is the bleach blonde hair with almost black roots underneath, I mean the hair under the blonde hair is black, so it's noticeable if she moves her head, or her hair blows. I couldn’t tell if she needed a crack-ho hair dye, or if it was on purpose. Pics are of this gal. She was between Central and Martin.
I spent the rest of the day cruising most of the known STROLLS in the SOUTHWEST “D” area; Vernor (nothing), Fort by the bridge, and Fort by Oakwood. Did see a WSW strutting it on Fort between Schaefer and Outer Drive in her 30's for sure, red top with gold sequins, brown should length hair maybe a 3-4 on the SW scale. Had a woman blow me a kiss, but I’m not sure if she was a BSW or not. Also cruised, Schaefer, Jefferson, FORT and DIX between Southfield and Schaefer nothing.
Also made a pass into Ypsi, where Lesley was out, but that was it.
All in all, about 4 hours of time, to see only a half dozen or so. Slow day, but the weather was beautiful and LEO was very light in the “D”, some of the border towns it was more noticeable.

Wow, Prowler, sorry to hear of this. I said the same thing when i got busted. that was 22 years ago. My retirement lasted about 30 days.
Can you share more? Do they take you to jail? I notice you were handcuffed. What about your possessions in the car? Do they also take those? Again, I apologize for prying, but it would be nice for us to know.

They handcuff you and put you in the back of the car while they fill out the report, your tickets and wait for the tow truck to leave with your vehicle. After that, they let you out of the car, uncuff you and tell you to have a safe walk.
My possessions were left in the car and they made sure to inform me they are not responsible if anything was to come up missing.

The police bagged up everything in my car and gave it to me and I took a cab home. This happened in 1998

I would goto Ontario, where granted you pay more $$$, but the fact that it is legal there you don't have to deal with the stress of LE and can relax more. Given the current state of the economy, and the fact that municipalities are cash strapped, you can expect that they will come down harder: I get pissed off enough when I get a speeding ticket ("the velocity tax") that is bogus; I can only imagine how upset I would be if I got an orgasm tax--LOL.
I have heard of worst case scenarios, of people getting their property seized (no return)--asset forfeiture, along with lifelong sexual predator registration (you can get yourself on the sex predator registration list for public urination--this is totally f'ing ridiculous, but such is the current state of things). IMO its just not worth the risk, and I'd rather pay more $$$ just so I can relax and know that I am within the bounds of the law. However, I still wish everyone the best of luck and reiterate: be safe out there. I'd be interested in continuing the thread and hearing of advice on how to avoid/handle the situation when it arises--maybe I will reconsider. But the risk just doesn't seem worth it.

Was that one of you guys in a work van that stopped briefly to look over my shoulder and read her lips on one of the side streets as she was explaining everything to me about Paris, Cannes, and Nice? Gave me a bit of a start but then I realized that you were all about the free peek and not scouting for Uncle.
Reading about what other guys have gone thru, I thought I would share by exprerience of being busted.
I was in the neighborhood of Michigan and Livernois in the 1990's.
The better (or needy) part of me saw something I couldn't resist. I pulled up, she asked if I wanted a date, and I stupidly, and quicky said yes. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by Detoit LE. They placed me in handcuffs and took me downtown. One of the LE drove my car downtown also.
They never put me in a cell but did keep me handcuffed to a railing where I was sitting. After what seemed a few hours, they released me and gave me a ticket for solicitation of a officer. I was able to drive my own car home.
I did hire an attorney who pleaded the charge down to disturbing the peace and it is supposedly expunged from my record. I did pay a fine. The arresting officers were at the court and did say I did not cause any problems.
I was told that if I was caught again, I would forfeit my car and also have to spend some time in jail.
Needless to say, I don't monger very often but when I do, I try to be extremely careful.
My experience differs quite a bit from others that I have read so I have to ask? Has the law changed in the D or is this a repeat offense?
I thought that the first time (although traumatic) was very light. Is it different now? I don't want to find out first hand.

The law has not changed that much, it is still a money grab for the city and Wayne county. Trying to pickup a street walker will not put you on the sexual predator list. Technically the police don't arrest you they ticket you a misdemeanor for public nuisance or something. But I would not like to see what happens if you get caught again it would be costly financially.

She is 25, foster child and recently moved into Crack Town, from Royal Oak! Amber was really a pretty cool chick. Yep she's off to Rehab in Pontiac. I've sampled The French Cuisine that she was serving, while I dipped into the honey pot. Very Nice! She's gone, but she'll be back. For some crack!
Had a dream about Lela. Blond, looks like she's early-mid 40s. She did a very very nice BBBJCIM for a Hamilton. She was pleasant, clean, unhurried, and supposedly lives alone. After a nice, deep perfectly executed job, I dropped her at her home, and I'll be dreaming about her again later this week. I'll send an update if she can host. Did the John R strip around 7 pm to 8:30, so heres my report.
Entered the area, at first it seemed dry out. First cruised down Hollywood / Robinwood. Saw 3 WSW about 2 (out of 5) standing on the corner. Decided to pass. Traveled north to 8 Mile, saw 2 hanging out in on the side streets, tried to wave down one but she seemed to be tweeked out on something, she acutally refused to get in? Maybe I'm the wrong color for her, her loss
Finally I met up with Rene on John R between The Miles. Reddish brown hair, green eyes, 5'6 slim about 35yo. Had a nice bbjwcim and lots of slurping and hand roaming action. (she had on some amazing pink panties) cost for my afternoon delight came to 25 dollars and her place where she's staying off the freeway.
No uncle LEO out and about that day, he's probably downtown with the festivals, but he may decide to ruin everyone's fun around the 4th of July or close to the state fair.

Only saw one girl, and I'm not sure if she was even working. White. Looked to be in too good of physical and mental shape to be working, and disappeared when I did the circle for another look. She may have been picked up, or may have been a resident. Couldn't tell.
Did see a WC Sheriff's SUV driving up and down the north and south streets. Couldn't tell if they were working hobbyist detail, or just looking for suspicious activity.
For such a beautiful night, I was surprised at how little action was out.
Normally if it is a nice night and you see no SW or only one or two it is because Uncle Leo is working patrols or undercover.
Most of the girls have warrents and don't want to get busted, also some of the girls will not work if undercover is working to protect the us guys from getting poped. If we get poped today we may never come out to play and pay again.

Sillion, I live in a different state and I can tell from this forum exactly where to find them, wsw, bsw, hsw, etc. All you have to do is scroll down and read the next 5-10 pages of reports; the streets are right here. As we say RTFF, and you'll be getting your lollipop sucked dry in no time, or your wick wet, as you prefer. Unless your fairly young, I have my doubts that you could actually live in Detroit proper, and not know where to find a SW. That ramped up LE activity is doing wonders I suppose.
Seriously though, if your new to this, think of another hobby and think about Canada for anything that would be illegal here, and just keep dreaming of what could happen in the USA.

I saw no less than 15 WSW within the Big D out there around 3pm Wednesday. Sillion- its pretty easy to find WSW- because most civilians walking around in Detroit are black.
Very light LEO on my cruise. Trouble is 14 of the 15 were 3's or worse. I guess a few of them were doable if you were wearing beer goggles. A recent report told mongers that the girls on Chalmers/Harper were only worth.15 tops? That was being generous more like.05 from the quality I saw! All the black girls I like are always civilians unfortunately walking into party stores, etc
The best girl by far I came across was a long light-red haired girl over by Cass Corridor (Charlotte Rd). She was fairly tall and thin. Didn't even catch her name, but good service and would recommend.

BaronD, I'm not calling you out-But I'm calling you out. I've cruised this Metro area for a long time (years), and can only remember 1 or 2 times (many years ago, late on a summer night on Mich Ave) where I saw 15 WSW, or even 15 SW in a particular area.

In a mere 2 or 3 hours you can do this vast stroll. The only place I don't really go is Telegraph and Fenkell area. No way can you find this many girls in 1 location- I never said that.
First I started on Chalmers, swung around to Harper. I saw several black girls tryin to holler at me. Saw 3 WSW on Harper. The worst quality is here. Went over to Gratiot and 7 mile and saw another 2 or 3 wsw across the hospital. Cruised 8 mile to John R. John R from 8 to 6 mile had literally 7 white girls. Now if I recall a few of them were ok. Now that I think about it 1 blonde girl was worth picking up. I just don't care for John R all that much as far as actual pickups. It was funny because families and children were walking down John R and there were white ho's just standing there on corners waiting for johns.
Took woodward into downtown. Cass Corridor had the 1 red hair girl. After doing the deed with her I roll over to Fort to Woodmere where I saw a couple more wsw. Saw a couple wsw on michigan ave as I rolled into downtown for my 5 pm meeting. So if you want to drive 70 miles and kill a couple hours go on this stroll! Its a hunters paradise if you got the energy.

Circled the Triangle several times. No sign of LEO.
Only saw 1 WSW on the trip. Leaving the Victory, apparently permanently. She was pudgy, bordering on BBW. But I still would have picked her up if she wasn't carrying 3 bags of SW luggage (grocery bags filled with clothes and various and sundry crap). Even though pudgy, she had a cute face that would have looked nice in my lap.
Also took a quick trip down Fenkell. Past Lahser saw a hispanic SW. Older. Slightly pudgy. About a 4 on the SW scale. I passed.

They cannot sell your car without a hearing and cannot make you plead guilty to get your car back. At the fees you guys are saying they try to extort from you a lawyer would be that or just a little higher. They have done the same in Nashville and Memphis TN. and the fees were lower total cost to drive out the lot about 500.00 to 750.00 depending on it there were any insurance, licens or unpaid parking tickets.
About a year ago Memphis PD raised thier fees to about 2000.00 out the lot. They got a few cars mostly cars that were not worth 200.00 much less 2000.00 but finally got a hold of a couple of high dollar cars one was a 2006 Vett owned by a friend of mine. He paid about 3000.00 in lawyer fees and got the case changed to federal court. The federal court judge returned all his property Memphis PD had to pay all his court cost and give him an additional 7500.00 out of thier durg fund.
Here is why. They did the same thing you guys are saying Detroit is doing except when they went to sell his car they placed it in the drug task force for an undercover officer to use. His lawyer advised him to take it into federal court to get out of the local corruption in the court and since this the only cars they have sold or used before they are forfited and the case is over are the junkers that can't cost them anything any way.
The federal judge even told the Memphis DA that the next time this happened he and the Mem. PD could be charged with correrison under the color of authority. My friends lawyer told him it was like extorition except it would carry federal jail sentence much larger fines and open them up to personal liability.
Before you start in let me sum it up. He was out over $3,000.00 up front and the car was held for over a year. The main reason he went the way he did with the case is he could not have his name in the local news and he had the money and some political connections and could be without the car for the time it took to get into court.

My streetwalker story
This is from the past, about 20 or 30 years ago. I was hanging out at Jumbo's bar on third street, a hooker hang-out. I was driving the bar maid home at a very late hour, and as we were leaving the area, I saw a girl in a wheel chair on the street. I said "what's she doing?", and the bar maid said "she's hooking". Well, I dropped the bar maid off and went back. I picked her up, put the wheel chair in the trunk. We went to the Viking Motel on Grand River. At that time, single girls could rent rooms by the hour, and guys couldn't, so I carried her in to register. She was good, looked good and gave good service. I could have left her in the room and stolen her money and her wheel-chair, of course I was nice to her. I swear every word of this story is true.

This Had me cracking up I actually remember the SW you are speaking of, there was also one with 1 leg back then used to work near Chung's, but I think I've got a story to top yours, I was in High School (Catholic) at the time and my buddies and I wandered into Jumbo's and I shit you not, we saw one of our teachers, in there, we looked him dead in his eyes, he was talking to Fe Fe (if you were at Jumbo's then you have to know her) we walked into the bathroom and he vanished (poof!) the next day of school we just looked at him and shook our heads, but never said anything, we did however have Much funny with Ms. Fe Fe and those Huge Tetas at the Temple hotel she took on all of our young asses and wore us out, What a Professional.
Went for a stroll at the triangle at lunch: Nothing around but an older WSW that was tweeking and talking to herself so not sure if WSW. Drove to Fnkl and strolled east. 1 BSW sitting and jelling- older 40s and gave look but I was just strolling. Thought I would try The John between the miles and hit the motherlode of SWs. Traveled north from Fnkl and John R: First a WSW BBW blonde a 3 on scale of 10, 3 BSW 2 were 3s but one looked better unless was a TS/TV- could not be sure. Almost to 7 ml: a WSW looked scottish/british and mid 40s- she smiled pleasantly but I went on strolling. Another WSW looked worn. But last WSW saw was at least a 6- dark hair fairly trim with slightly bigger bottom but it was to late to partake- she smiled nicely as well and looked interested (near 8 ml).

Saw a couple wsw on Fenkell that would rate around a 3 on scale but I saw a BSW that was smoking hot, I went to go around the block to come up on the side street that she was on so I would'nt be so noticible and as I was squeezing between cars I looked over at the white crown vic I was getting ready to drive by and noticed it had blue lights in the dash. this cop has no spot lights, private plate, and it says AIRTRANS on the side of the car. If it was'nt for the tight squeeze I would not have noticed him but I did. As I was leaving fenkell WACO had a marked Charger sitting on a side street 3 streets down and I passed a Detroit PD car cruising slowly down by Eliza Howell Park.

Strolled while driving to work. Saw 2 WSW between 6 and 7 while on John R. Both were a 1 on 10 scale and one looked like needed a fix. Between 7 and 8 3 more WSW, 2 were around a 6/7 and one was a 3/4. One was dark hair with white clothes on looked trim with some extra on midsection but looked good, one had brown hair thin (but not 2 much) smiled and looked like 1 tooth missing, third one had brown hair and knew the other brown hair SW but did not get the best view. Could not partake had to get to work on time.

Just took one pass up John R from 6-8 Mile. Lunchtime. Sunny day.
Only saw one BSW, 3 on the scale.
I hadn't taken that cruise in a while, and I was surprised at how much civilian traffic there was on the street. Too busy with legitimate people.
I read the post about finding many girls at one location and there are 2 places (that I know of) where that happened frequently.
Michigan and Livernois - SE corner when there was a notel attached to a little greasy pit. You could drive thru (under) part of the notel and your car would be surrounded by SW's. They were also in the "diner".
The other place was the Last Chance bar on SE corner of 8 mile and Woodward. Inside were all the girls you could ask for. There were guys trying to scam money thru card games or pool.
The loop around 2nd and 3rd (by the Masonic) area was also good.
I hate to date myself buy this does go back to the late 70's.
Neither of the first 2 place exists anymore and the girls moved elsewhere.
On the weekends, you really didn't have to search hard, just decide where you wanted to go, even in the early evenings or daytime.

I could trade stories about Jumbo's all night. I have one to top yours. One night while I was sitting at the bar, guess who walks in? My minor aged son (about 16 or 17). I grab his arm and asked what he was doing there, and told him to leave. He had seen my car there, and just popped in to say hi to dad!

Heavy rain, and still two girls out, both WSW. Both near the Victory.
One girl walked to the liquor store, and ended up getting a ride back from a guy. He left 10 minutes later from her room.
Other girl was pacing back and forth under awning of Victory, but I didn't want to go into the parking lot to get her.
Had to stop recon shortly after the rain stopped, so not sure who crawled out of the shadows.
I've seen almost no action along 7 Mile, and none down by Mt. Vernon. A year or so ago, those locations were crawling. LE must have made those spots a focus of enforcement, so be wary.
Strolled down J.R. between 6 and 8 saw 1 BBW BSW near 6- cute face, saw 1 WSW skinny and looking high same area. Saw Unlce LEO on side street west side of J.R. between 6 and 7. They pulled out behind me just as I saw 3rd WSW- dark short hair with baggy sundress so could not rate looks but weird smile and I watched LEO stop to talk to her in my rearview! Saw a 4th WSW- red hair thin but not scary thin striking a pose- tank type top showing her stuff and cute face- would have stopped by LEO was somewhere 1/2 behind so off I went.
Question (and I will read the rest of forum again) Does anyone have experience with this red head? She looked like a good time.

I do not see your experince as being any different than mine- Got popped a few years ago. cuffed, then released with ticket and car impounded. Cost $1000 to get car out of impound and at court- Plead innocent and just had to pay the ticket- no record. The D just wants the money and to put the scare in you. As others have said- read the 22 rules and be careful, I wish I knew about this board before I got popped since it was CLASSIC! I pulled up and started talking to the WSW while she was standing outside of car- WRONG! This happened near 8 mile and Schoenherr (spelling?)

Back in the middle 1990s I dreamed of a tall blonde Russian dancer named Natasha at a place called Cafe Chablis in Dearborn.

Dreamed I met Kimmie on the street behind the Victory in the Triangle tonight (Friday). She was drunk, but not beyond repair.
Kimmie is the one who got the ride back from the liquor store in my prior report.
WSW, bit of a belly, about a 5 on the WSW scale.
Took her to the car wash. Guys laughed as I paid for a wash. They knew what was up.
Got a BBBJTCIM while getting the car washed. Dreamed I fingered Kimmie while she sucked.
She claimed she was 33, I'd guess 40s, or the street medicine has taken its toll.
She wouldn't shut up as I drove her back to the motel she was staying at.
Dropped her off at the Victory, where she stumbledout of the car and over to the other WSW I mentioned in my prior report.
Ran into Amanda again, she is the tall thin cute red headed girl on the tele - gr strip. Spent an enjoyable time with her and looking forward to enjoying time with her again. Got her new digits; however, she seemed leery about me giving them out. Last time she got flooded with calls and shut the number off.
