I used it a few times. A drug dealer controlled the place, until there was a raid there to uncover his drug and sex trafficking ring. Here is a link:

Venus is still in business, but since the VIP's in Detroit clubs were effectively eliminated, I have not been back there.

Was riding home from work and saw this hot white chick dressed nicely around 10 pm on Wednesday, she also had a purse so I was convinced it was a setup, this was on the side of the Rathskeller place. Out of curiosity I went around the block and this car had stopped and she was talking thru the window, I thought any second he's going to get popped, went around the block and both were gone. Anyone seen her?

Back in the late 80's there was another hotel down Cass closer to the Freeway, I can't recall its name something with sun in it I believe, used to take a regular there all the time. I think it was on Montcalm or Elizabeth and Cass. There also was a blind pig that was on Third across from Jumbos. It was a duplex flop house, lots of partying going on there and lots of girls there. The building no longer exists, but that is where you could end up to still continue your night after 2 am.

There were several other whorehouses back then that existed, sad it is all gone now. That was really some good times back then and lots of great looking providers.

- Brotha J.[/QUOTE]The Viking Motel at Grand River and Temple is still in business, as is the University Hotel on 2nd and Antoinette. I also recall a boarding house on Park north of Temple, around the corner from the Temple; the girls would flag you down from the curb, you'd go in and pay some guy at the door for the room. I also used a couple places on Second. One is still the Boulevard Hostel, near Temple, another around the corner from the Bronx Bar, and another one, a house, just south of Temple.
