Years back it was said that the most attractive strippers in San Diego worked in Vegas to make money but lived in SD for the weather. They would sometimes take shifts in SD clubs.

Two things I can think of that are probably turning the ladies away from stripping.

1.) In San Diego, they need an "adult performer" license:

Stopped in Expose in Kearny Mesa it was dead 2 girls working maybe 4 or 5's. A waste of time.

If you did go back to Les Girls, I'd say go more with the attitude of "hanging out" than trying to get "high mileage" dances. I think there is a craft brewery near by and an In and Out. They stamp your hand or at least used to so you could walk in and out to eat and drink. Also, there won't be many customers on say a Monday night. So you could drop a few bucks on the stage, maybe get a dance, try socializing a bit at the front entrance and see what happens. You could have an okay night out for less than $50 if you wanted.
