Agree with prior posters back in the day you basically had to swerve out of the way otherwise a SW could fall into your back seat. Up and down Woodward from the Boston Edison district to 8 mile, Cass Corridor, the are, fort street, Triangle, west warren and eight mile itself.
At certain times you still see potentials but no where like the hey day. Just cruised Warren and the Ave and saw nothing between 9-10. On a nice night like tonight would of easily had a couple SW. LOL!

It was a bit of an odd cruise tonight on the are. **Spoiler Alert! No SW's were picked up! .
I cruised up and down a few times between 6 and 8 Miles between roughly 11:30 PM and just before Midnight. There were a few apparent BSW's and a few WSW's out. The BSW's were the regular crew one can see almost any night, especially down towards 6 Mile. The White women were a bit different in appearance.
I saw one gal who was quite attractive, probably early 30's or younger, dressed in (sort of) matching black shorts and a black tank top. When I first saw her, she was walking from the alley area by the State Fair gas station; by the time I circled back, she was going down the first side street South of the intersection. She turned to look as I drove by but did not seem interested in making contact so, even though she was 'dressed for the job' (sexy / skimpy), I didn't feel bold enough to approach.
The other 3 (possible) WSW's were even bigger mysteries. All were 20's - 30's looking and, like the previously mentioned gal, quite attractive. One was a short blonde dressed in white shorts / white top, curly hair, walking up towards State Fair; the second one I saw was a brunette who looked to be in her mid 20's and was wearing a t shirt of sorts and regular shorts; the 3rd and last one was a blonde who also appeared to be in her 20's, pretty hot but dressed in a hoody and some sort of. I guess you'd call them sweat pants. None of those 3 were wearing anything that screamed 'sexy' and none of them showed any interest in making any kind of eye contact or giving any sort of signal. Also, even though I drive through that area quite regularly, I can't recall ever having seen ANY of them in the past. They may well have been decoys (I certainly wasn't going to approach any of them under those circumstances! But I also didn't see any cops (marked or unmarked looking vehicles) anywhere at all in the general area. It makes me wonder if perhaps they are revving up the john stings again or if perhaps I'm letting paranoia creep into my mind ).

There were at least 3 gals out in the stretch of McNichols /6 Mile just West of Conant in Detroit this past night around Midnight. The first one I saw was the petite BSW who is often seen in the area. She is actually not that bad looking but is crazier than a bedbug! (I've seen her in party stores before cussing randomly at people as well as, quite literally, 'dancing in the street' high on drugs!) The second one I saw, only some yards past the crazy one, was a BSW whose face I could not clearly see, but she was pushing her tits up in that "Come hither, sailor! Type of way. The last one I saw was the heavy set WSW who always wears shorts and looks like she could either be a 20-something who was aged rapidly by the drugs, or a 40-something who tries to act younger. In any case, she was walking in the middle of the road in an unlit area (as the first BSW sometimes does.). I wince to think what would have happened if one of the extreme speeders sometimes seen in that area would have been passing through at the time! As it was, even w / me going no faster than 30-some, I had to slow down quickly and pull into the middle lane to avoid hitting her! We need a 'Working Girl Crossing' sign in that area, I swear! .
