What's always funny to me regarding taxes is that the rich have multitudes of ways to lower and lower and lower their AGI.

If you guys think they pay 39% on all the money they earn, you are smoking bad stuff from South America. I'm certainly not rich, but even I have ways of lowering my AGI. A rich guy might have $2. 5 million in income, and end up paying taxes on 300 K.

Poor shmucks can't do that.

And don't even get me started on the simple fact that the 39% is only applied to the highest end of the 300 K not the whole amount.

With the recent pandemic, the top earners in America (call them the 10% pay closer to 75% of all the taxes that go to the Treasury. They also give the largest percentage of charitable and benevolence giving, as percentage, that towers over the rest of the US population. They are also the largest job providers as a ratio of person / employee per capita. Even Democrat Politicians acknowledge all this.

One stat that's absent from this is the fact that 60% of Americans pay NO INCOME TAXES at all. NONE! And buy cars too. And on top of that, for those who don't work, with government assistance, the average annual "imputed / assisted" income is 49 K annually (I use the term imputed lightly, as it's not technically imputed, as it's mostly Gov't assistance). So with all that, I find it hard to fathom comments like "the rich need to pay their fair share. " Their taxes are the ones that keep going up and up, while those on the other end of the spectrum pay no taxes, and get more assistance than any $ for $ than any other immigrant. This doesn't even include what illegal alien status immigrants get. That's a whole other story. I agree there needs to be more balance, but to say the "rich" aren't paying, I think that's a stretch guys..

Are you f'in kidding? Top 10% income earners pay over 70% of ALL taxes paid, about 20% of their income. The bottom 50% of income earners pay 2. 9% of ALL taxes paid, about 3. 4% of their income. The bottom wage earners also collect 99% of federal and state handouts. Maybe he ought to change his "tired" words. I also wonder how much tax he and his 'boy', Hunter Biden, have paid in taxes on the money they have made on overseas 'contracts'?

wondering if anyone has used an AirBnB that is open to being used for a tryst. I had one about 5 years ago; the guy wanted just $40 a pop, and off the books. But he has since moved away. I wasn't sure if anyone else had an ideas.

I use them constantly with my harem of cheating housewives. We all love it. (Have been thinking about doing it with a hooker but seems too risky).
