My post did not just mention cameras. I saw wires dangling from the ceiling. Could have been just water sprinklers for fires but it is strange that there were gaps in the walls so you could hear nearly everything. What if those wires are microphones? Cameras are visual but audio is possible and even cheaper. LE should not be able to use the film or audio as evidence but that did not stop the private room videos to be leaked for Kraft. Having your face on camera and risking yourself on a suspect list is bad enough for me. As earthquakes are inevitable, so are sting operations in the future.

That is why I prefer the fairview complex, there are a handful of shops that do not have cameras. If an operation happens, LE would not be able to bust tens of thousands of people who went through that complex and gathering evidence would not be a simple matter in such scale.

I'm no lawyer, but so what if they have you recorded on a cam in a lobby of a place that's busted for whatever. All they've got is you in the lobby, gone for a time, then leave. You could be taking a 60-minute dump in their washroom for all they know. Not to mention if there is video, it's stored offsite per the article on the Copper Tan and Spa. Police couldn't locate video and the spa used to prove their case. If someone locates the actual video (it used to be posted), it's slam dunk police abuse!

Maybe you've never noticed the webcams, but every "spa" I've been to has webcams. The cans are for safety as well as managing their businesses offsite. For instance, they track the number of customers that enter their businesses and how long the customers stay. When I lived in Chicago, there was a highly publicized incident where the Chicago police raided an AMP when an undercover LEO was allegedly offered a sexual act for money. Google Copper Tan and Spa Chicago. When they stormed in, one of the managers was screaming because she was shocked not knowing what was happening. An officer slapped her and ridiculed her telling her to shut up and he's sending her ass back to China. She's an American citizen. Bunch of other police indiscretions occurred, but my point is they caught all of this on their webcams! End result is Chicago got sued and charges dropped. Exact opposite of the Kraft scandal.

In other words, don't worry about the webcams unless they're in the room you're enjoying your "massage".

Cameras are bad news. I wouldn't take a chance with a place with cameras all over especially outside where they can see your car.

Once I actually got a RM account I realized that just because a place has a lot of reviews doesn't mean that they are all good. Quite a few spas that I figured were goldmines because of all of the reviews were actually shithouses and 90% of the reviews were warnings.
