Damn LE is getting bad there.
I drove all around yesterday and only saw 2 in the john are area. Would love some details on Nikki and where the good ones are.Is Nikki from Tycoons.

You should get the car out today because you will get hit storage fees by the day and it is high price.
Get a lawyer to handel it for you.

Detroit - Wayne County
wording on the complaint was on the carbon copy and I can't make it out (officer put it in my pocket folded up while I was still in cuffs) Will have to wait for the letter in the mail with court date. Municipal Code of the city of detroit listed on the complaint was 38-5-1.
Have to wait till thur to get vehicle out at the earliest by what the officers told me

Basicly what is going to happen. You have to pay two fines. One to the city of detroit and the other to the county sheriff. You must pay the one to the city first as they will give you a release form to take to the county sheriff building. I had to pay $1500 to the city then an additional $1000 to the sheriff. Once you pay the sheriff, they will give you another release form to take to the impound yard to get your vehicle. You will then have to pay the impound fee to get your vehicle which was $300 for me.
Here is the problem I have with the whole situation. If you decide to fight the charge, you will lose your vehicle, why you ask? When you contact the city court about your car and case they will inform you of a 3 day waiting period before you can pay the fine or enter a complaint and ask to fight the charge in court. This is where the problem is, your court date will be 2-3 months down the road, the impound yard only holds the vehicles for 30 days and then they are auctioned off to pay the cost of impound and towing fee's.
My suggestion to you, suck it up and pay the fines and mark it up as experience in this sometimes costly hobby we partake in. I had to and I am sure others have also.

You may be getting lucky on this one. Here is the code if 38-5-1 is correct.
Sec. 38-5-1. Disorderly conduct.
Any person who shall make or assist in making any noise, disturbance, or improper diversion or any rout or riot, by which the peace and good order of the neighborhood is disturbed, or any person who shall consume alcoholic beverages on any street or sidewalk, or who shall engage in any indecent or obscene conduct in any public place, or who shall engage in an illegal occupation, or who shall loiter in a place of illegal occupation, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
I dont believe this is the same one I was hit with but could be wrong, it was a couple years ago. maybe another senior member can confirm.

You can't win if you fight, so just pay and move on. Personally, I've given up the hobby after 16 years. With LE and the the threat of being robbed during this recession, picking up hookers just isn't worth the thrill anymore.

Weather; Lo 70's, Clear and Dry, Sunny (perfect stroll weather)
I was in RECON only mode on Tuesday, and decided to take advantage of the beautiful day. I started my stroll in the “D” on Mich Ave cruising between Wyoming and Livernois (or maybe a little east of Livernois). Saw 2 WSW, one looked late20's early 30’s, with shoulder length sandy brown hair. She was wearing pink Capri pants, and had a nice thin figure, maybe, 5-4, 115 pounds, B cups, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. She stayed mostly within a block West or East of Livernois. At one point she poked her head in the passenger side of stopped car and chatted with the driver for a few minutes. That seemed odd and not discreet to me.
The other WSW I saw was taller, maybe 5-8 or 9, with what looked like C cupped puppies. She was thinner, so maybe 110 pounds on her taller frame, maybe a 4-5 on the SW scale. Noticeable feature here is the bleach blonde hair with almost black roots underneath, I mean the hair under the blonde hair is black, so it's noticeable if she moves her head, or her hair blows. I couldn’t tell if she needed a crack-ho hair dye, or if it was on purpose. Pics are of this gal. She was between Central and Martin.
I spent the rest of the day cruising most of the known STROLLS in the SOUTHWEST “D” area; Vernor (nothing), Fort by the bridge, and Fort by Oakwood. Did see a WSW strutting it on Fort between Schaefer and Outer Drive in her 30's for sure, red top with gold sequins, brown should length hair maybe a 3-4 on the SW scale. Had a woman blow me a kiss, but I’m not sure if she was a BSW or not. Also cruised, Schaefer, Jefferson, FORT and DIX between Southfield and Schaefer nothing.
Also made a pass into Ypsi, where Lesley was out, but that was it.
All in all, about 4 hours of time, to see only a half dozen or so. Slow day, but the weather was beautiful and LEO was very light in the “D”, some of the border towns it was more noticeable.

Wow, Prowler, sorry to hear of this. I said the same thing when i got busted. that was 22 years ago. My retirement lasted about 30 days.
Can you share more? Do they take you to jail? I notice you were handcuffed. What about your possessions in the car? Do they also take those? Again, I apologize for prying, but it would be nice for us to know.

They handcuff you and put you in the back of the car while they fill out the report, your tickets and wait for the tow truck to leave with your vehicle. After that, they let you out of the car, uncuff you and tell you to have a safe walk.
My possessions were left in the car and they made sure to inform me they are not responsible if anything was to come up missing.

This happened in 1998This is why I don't risk street mongering, although I honestly wish all of you the best in your pursuits. I would goto Ontario, where granted you pay more $$$, but the fact that it is legal there you don't have to deal with the stress of LE and can relax more. Given the current state of the economy, and the fact that municipalities are cash strapped, you can expect that they will come down harder: I get pissed off enough when I get a speeding ticket ("the velocity tax") that is bogus; I can only imagine how upset I would be if I got an orgasm tax--LOL.
I have heard of worst case scenarios, of people getting their property seized (no return)--asset forfeiture, along with lifelong sexual predator registration (you can get yourself on the sex predator registration list for public urination--this is totally f'ing ridiculous, but such is the current state of things). IMO its just not worth the risk, and I'd rather pay more $$$ just so I can relax and know that I am within the bounds of the law. However, I still wish everyone the best of luck and reiterate: be safe out there. I'd be interested in continuing the thread and hearing of advice on how to avoid/handle the situation when it arises--maybe I will reconsider. But the risk just doesn't seem worth it.

Was that one of you guys in a work van that stopped briefly to look over my shoulder and read her lips on one of the side streets as she was explaining everything to me about Paris, Cannes, and Nice? Gave me a bit of a start but then I realized that you were all about the free peek and not scouting for Uncle.
Reading about what other guys have gone thru, I thought I would share by exprerience of being busted.
I was in the neighborhood of Michigan and Livernois in the 1990's.
The better (or needy) part of me saw something I couldn't resist. I pulled up, she asked if I wanted a date, and I stupidly, and quicky said yes. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by Detoit LE. They placed me in handcuffs and took me downtown. One of the LE drove my car downtown also.
They never put me in a cell but did keep me handcuffed to a railing where I was sitting. After what seemed a few hours, they released me and gave me a ticket for solicitation of a officer. I was able to drive my own car home.
I did hire an attorney who pleaded the charge down to disturbing the peace and it is supposedly expunged from my record. I did pay a fine. The arresting officers were at the court and did say I did not cause any problems.
I was told that if I was caught again, I would forfeit my car and also have to spend some time in jail.
Needless to say, I don't monger very often but when I do, I try to be extremely careful.
My experience differs quite a bit from others that I have read so I have to ask? Has the law changed in the D or is this a repeat offense?
I thought that the first time (although traumatic) was very light. Is it different now? I don't want to find out first hand.

The law has not changed that much, it is still a money grab for the city and Wayne county. Trying to pickup a street walker will not put you on the sexual predator list. Technically the police don't arrest you they ticket you a misdemeanor for public nuisance or something. But I would not like to see what happens if you get caught again it would be costly financially.

Did the John R strip around 7 pm to 8:30, so heres my report.
Entered the area, at first it seemed dry out. First cruised down Hollywood / Robinwood. Saw 3 WSW about 2 (out of 5) standing on the corner. Decided to pass. Traveled north to 8 Mile, saw 2 hanging out in on the side streets, tried to wave down one but she seemed to be tweeked out on something, she acutally refused to get in? Maybe I'm the wrong color for her, her loss
Finally I met up with Rene on John R between The Miles. Reddish brown hair, green eyes, 5'6 slim about 35yo. Had a nice bbjwcim and lots of slurping and hand roaming action. (she had on some amazing pink panties) cost for my afternoon delight came to 25 dollars and her place where she's staying off the freeway.
No uncle LEO out and about that day, he's probably downtown with the festivals, but he may decide to ruin everyone's fun around the 4th of July or close to the state fair.

Only saw one girl, and I'm not sure if she was even working. White. Looked to be in too good of physical and mental shape to be working, and disappeared when I did the circle for another look. She may have been picked up, or may have been a resident. Couldn't tell.
Did see a WC Sheriff's SUV driving up and down the north and south streets. Couldn't tell if they were working hobbyist detail, or just looking for suspicious activity.
For such a beautiful night, I was surprised at how little action was out.
Normally if it is a nice night and you see no SW or only one or two it is because Uncle Leo is working patrols or undercover.
Most of the girls have warrents and don't want to get busted, also some of the girls will not work if undercover is working to protect the us guys from getting poped. If we get poped today we may never come out to play and pay again.

I saw no less than 15 WSW within the Big D out there around 3pm Wednesday. Sillion- its pretty easy to find WSW- because most civilians walking around in Detroit are black.
Very light LEO on my cruise. Trouble is 14 of the 15 were 3's or worse. I guess a few of them were doable if you were wearing beer goggles. A recent report told mongers that the girls on Chalmers/Harper were only worth.15 tops? That was being generous more like.05 from the quality I saw! Friday night. Nice weather, with storms approaching a few hours later. From 545 until 630.
Circled the Triangle several times. No sign of LEO.
Only saw 1 WSW on the trip. Leaving the Victory, apparently permanently. She was pudgy, bordering on BBW. But I still would have picked her up if she wasn't carrying 3 bags of SW luggage (grocery bags filled with clothes and various and sundry crap). You are absolutely correct. You can't win if you fight, so just pay and move on. Personally, I've given up the hobby after 16 years. With LE and the the threat of being robbed during this recession, picking up hookers just isn't worth the thrill anymore.I don't live up there and I know cops and le are crooks with a badge but, you guys need to get a good lawyer. They cannot sell your car without a hearing and cannot make you plead guilty to get your car back. At the fees you guys are saying they try to extort from you a lawyer would be that or just a little higher. They have done the same in Nashville and Memphis TN. and the fees were lower total cost to drive out the lot about 500.00 to 750.00 depending on it there were any insurance, licens or unpaid parking tickets.
About a year ago Memphis PD raised thier fees to about 2000.00 out the lot. They got a few cars mostly cars that were not worth 200.00 much less 2000.00 but finally got a hold of a couple of high dollar cars one was a 2006 Vett owned by a friend of mine. He paid about 3000.00 in lawyer fees and got the case changed to federal court. The federal court judge returned all his property Memphis PD had to pay all his court cost and give him an additional 7500.00 out of thier durg fund.
Here is why. They did the same thing you guys are saying Detroit is doing except when they went to sell his car they placed it in the drug task force for an undercover officer to use. His lawyer advised him to take it into federal court to get out of the local corruption in the court and since this the only cars they have sold or used before they are forfited and the case is over are the junkers that can't cost them anything any way.
The federal judge even told the Memphis DA that the next time this happened he and the Mem. PD could be charged with correrison under the color of authority. My friends lawyer told him it was like extorition except it would carry federal jail sentence much larger fines and open them up to personal liability.
Before you start in let me sum it up. He was out over $3,000.00 up front and the car was held for over a year. The main reason he went the way he did with the case is he could not have his name in the local news and he had the money and some political connections and could be without the car for the time it took to get into court.

This is from the past, about 20 or 30 years ago. I was hanging out at Jumbo's bar on third street, a hooker hang-out. I did the triangle stroll around 3:30 today not much out. Strolled while driving to work. Saw 2 WSW between 6 and 7 while on John R. Both were a 1 on 10 scale and one looked like needed a fix. Between 7 and 8 3 more WSW, 2 were around a 6/7 and one was a 3/4. One was dark hair with white clothes on looked trim with some extra on midsection but looked good, one had brown hair thin (but not 2 much) smiled and looked like 1 tooth missing, third one had brown hair and knew the other brown hair SW but did not get the best view. Just took one pass up John R from 6-8 Mile. Lunchtime. Sunny day.

I hadn't taken that cruise in a while, and I was surprised at how much civilian traffic there was on the street. Too busy with legitimate people.
I read the post about finding many girls at one location and there are 2 places (that I know of) where that happened frequently.
Michigan and Livernois - SE corner when there was a notel attached to a little greasy pit. You could drive thru (under) part of the notel and your car would be surrounded by SW's. They were also in the "diner".
The other place was the Last Chance bar on SE corner of 8 mile and Woodward. Inside were all the girls you could ask for. There were guys trying to scam money thru card games or pool.
The loop around 2nd and 3rd (by the Masonic) area was also good.
I hate to date myself buy this does go back to the late 70's.
Neither of the first 2 place exists anymore and the girls moved elsewhere.
On the weekends, you really didn't have to search hard, just decide where you wanted to go, even in the early evenings or daytime.

Heavy rain, and still two girls out, both WSW. Both near the Victory.

It's a much much rougher area than the Triangle.

East of Lahser it's very very rough. And most of the action is still on the north side of Fenkell, generally on the corners of the side streets standing on Fenkell.

Thought I would become familiar with the Telegraph strip tonight. Cruised from Eureka to just north of 8 mile. I saw GR and 8 mile just wasn't brave enough to try them this late at night. Maybe once I am more familiar with the area. I saw maybe 3 potential WSWs. One was in tight black pants and getting in a car at the BP just north of 8 mile. The other was standing at a gas station just south of 7 mile. I would have invited the one in black pants to a party. She was probably an 8 easily on the SW scale. Well, might try to branch out tomorrow night. Again if anyone has any digits they would be willing to share I can return the favor with some Cleveland digits. Just PM me.

Drivin the Grand River - 7 - Telegraph area, and saw an interesting 22-26yr wsw about a 8++ working the area that last week or so. She is agressive and seems overly anxious to jump in anyones car. Frequently picked up by a Ford Explorer that appears to be her PIMP or maybe just friends (did I really think that?).
Anyone spend any time with this one? 90% sure this is not an undercover cop.
EMGI have seen her out at various times. Weekday evenings (4:30-7pm), and weekends during the day. Trolled late at night a few times, but never saw her.
Strolled the triangle to see if the sites were any better than the John. Saw a HOT BSW at Victory notel, circled around the notel several times to look for any LE. Saw a WSW (7-8 on scale) on GR near that notel, swung around to pick her up but someone else beat me to the dream and saw no LE around.
Question- was the BSW a sting? She just looked too good, hung around the notel the whole time (about 1 1/2 hour) and there was a guy on a bike she talked to in that parking lot so it just did not look good.

I went and did some recon in the Fort, Vernor, Mich, Central area.
Only saw 2 questionable WSW's on Fort (3 at best). None to be seen in the other areas. Perhaps it was too early in the day (around noon).
If anyone has digits for a good "regular" WSW, please let me know. I prefer the spinner type but let me know what you have. I am getting tired of not finding anything and trying to avoid uncle LEO.

Cruisin after work at 6pm today. Harper between gratiot and chalmers see 3 girls. One bruttene actually wasn't too bad, but she did look like she enjoyed street medicine. I was just scoping Saturday, and I noticed no less than 8 gals and 5-6 LE cars. I noted two flat bed tow trucks in the area. I used my blinker and stayed at 30 mph. Some of the gals looked really good. One WSW, about 21, shoulder light brown hair, about 5-7", 122 pds, b cup, looked really good, SW 9. I didn't like her purse or all the LE in the area. Since I am really a Westsider, I am not a big fan of the how the streets work off of John R. Specifically, I don't like all the one way side streets and how long they are to turn around. Also, the unemployment and good weather has everyone on their porches. Don't know what it is about the girls either, they stand in places where they are hard to pick up. You practically got to be obvious to make a pickup. Not my kind of fishing conditions friends. That place is LE's dream and my nightmare.

After all the recent posts I decided to stroll John R and see what's happening. Besides, I have a new client in the area, so it's convenient for now.
I counted 10 different SW before and after I saw my client. Black, white, tall, short, big and petite. 2 were standing on Hollywood and John R and talking to a guy who parked next to them in a flat bed truck!! The two were WSW, about a 8/10. They looked too good for me, and the guy who was chilling out with them in the flat bed looked way too comfortable to be a monger.

I went for a ride around the fort, vernor, dearborn, outer drive area last night while at work. If figured if I saw anything decent I'd stop for some head. There was a lot of activity on those streets between 10pm and 1am but there just wasn't anything worth picking up. They were all between a 3 and 5 on the scale. I'm pretty picky and I won't settle for anything less than a 7. After 2 am I spotted a nice little blonde near the truck stop on fort but by the tine I got turned around she was gone. I headed back to vernor and as I turned onto woodmere there was a decent looking brunette walking along. I'd never seen her before so I circled around and cruised by slowly to get a good look. She looked like a stipper at a local club that may have had a slow night and was looking for some extra cash. I pulled over to the next side street and waited for her to walk up. Before she got to me another car stopped on woodmere and got her. That sucked. I continued to drive and around 4:30 am the activity started to pick up again. I spotted two decent looking girls walking down oakwood heading toward the bridge. I went back down dearborn and saw no activity so I took jefferson back to green and headed toward fort. I saw one girl that looked all beat up looking. Did some strolling down John R. on Thurs & Sat. Thursday there was about 6 or 7 WSW between 8 and McNichols, but none that fit my taste. Got a look from one of them who would've done the trick, but Uncle Leo was in the parking lot of a nearby gas station, would've been pretty obvious.
Saturday on John R: went in the afternoon, there was only one WSW there. Tall, maybe 5'10. Very skinny, debatable as to whether or not she was cracked out. Got the look but decided to pass on. Uncle Leo wasn't around, but I just wasn't feeling it.

I would like to echo this report. Harrison and Michigan, in Inkster, has some hard up SW, particularily South of Michigan on Harrison. Do be careful. Inkster LE is very good at taking cars and money. Friend use to work at the city, and talks of how so many guys from surrounding towns would be forking cash out to get their cars back. The upside is they really only want your car, you might beat the ticket though.

I was at work last night and things were slow so I had another opportunity to cruise these areas for most of the night. Pretty much between midnight and one thirty there wasn't anything decent out walking around. I didn't see anything above a five. I have mounted many overnight recon campaigns in the Vernor, Woodmere, Fort with results similar to what MadHumper reports. Things quiet down after 2:00 am. I noticed that at about 5:00 AM there is a bolus of 5-10 scale SWs let off in the vicinity of Woodmere and Vernor.
They disperse from that point to the rest of the W V area. A Jersey City, N.J., man was charged yesterday with running a prostitution ring for nearly 20 years, using heroin and cocaine to keep scores of women turning tricks from which he generated hundreds of thousands of dollars.
XXXXXXXXXXX, 47, and six associates were named in a sweeping indictment announced by the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.
Authorities allege that while the prostitution network operated in the Jersey City area, the women forced to work in Brown's "stables" came from cities throughout the state, including Camden and Atlantic City, and from across the Delaware River in Philadelphia.
The women allegedly were induced to use heroin and cocaine, and were then beaten or denied drugs if they failed to meet a daily financial quota in the sex trade.
The indictment formalized charges leveled against Brown nearly a year ago when he was arrested as part of "Operation Red Light," a joint investigation by the Division of Criminal Justice and Jersey City police.
He has been held in the Hudson County Jail on $325,000 bail.
"XXXXXXXXXXX enslaved vulnerable young women in a living hell of addiction and prostitution, controlling them with narcotics, threats and beatings," Attorney General Anne Milgram said in a news release announcing the indictment.
The women were kept in "stables," investigators said, houses that Brown maintained. They were unable to leave and were strung out on narcotics supplied by Brown and his associates. Brown, they said, controlled the women by exploiting their addictions.
The women were then driven to "tracks" - motels or street corners - where they were required to meet a daily quota that ranged from $500 to $1,000.
If they did not make the quota, authorities allege, the women were beaten, denied drugs, and forced to stay on the streets until they made the money.
Brown, who faces more than 20 years in prison, was charged with racketeering, human trafficking, money laundering, and nearly a dozen other lesser offenses.
Six others, including his mother, a nephew, and a niece, were charged with related offenses.
Among other things, the indictment alleges that Brown laundered more than $500,000 through one of his mother's bank accounts.
At the time of his arrest last year, authorities said Brown operated a stable in an upscale condominium on Newark Bay in the Society Hill section of Jersey City.
Police also seized several vehicles as part of the investigation, including a Rolls Royce, a Cadillac DeVille, and a Hummer.
