I hear business re-opening this week or next. Don't know much more than that, only girls telling me they going work over there when reopen.Not sure how reliable my sources are but I was told that Patty mama's deal with Jun at Splash is null and void. I was told that Patty is now trying to secure Business. Take if for what it's worth fellas, just what my kim chee wireless has told me. Have fun bros.

No wonder the bars sucked the night before; girls took off to recharge for the next night.TC mama organized a golf tournament on Tuesday. A lot of the players went to butterfly afterwards, had raffle prizes and stuff. That's why the lot was packed.
Most town bars were not too busy but not dead except Camelot. Casino has a couple interesting looking young ones early but when slow they go home early. At least its an improvement from previous mama running Casino. Butts so so busy and Ava who has a spotty attendence record was on duty with LVBs. Ellie's slow. Damour kind of busy but bar is too small for amount of girls. EG slow and Twilight same. The girl in white dress at Twilight was pretty hot but was busy with LVB. Still bad service at the bar. Business still not open but seen cars in front of door and maybe they preparing bar to reopen. Splash busy with choke korean customers. Sasha was going to town dancing and singing to get attention but noone cares except other KBGs, LOL. BTW, DT, your gf must not know Sasha as she is not local but banana from mainland. Tia and others much hotter imo and not as slutty looking. Yujin off and mia. I heard that Ellie mama might take over Splash. CG and his crew was at Backy Ally crusing and neva like me set him up wit playgirl at Splash or get fed so moved to EG for more recon and looking for Dragon bro who I was supposed to meet but kept missing each other so went home. Chibi bro, don't txt KBGs late at night or they might think you one playa drinking another bar. Txt early so they THINK you LVB, LOL. Be like me no txt or call or give my #. I did end up going to Splash first which was pretty packed especially at the time I came into town. Met up with some friends at Splash also so I wasn't alone. After Splash went to the Damour bar was empty had some booths filled. Stayed there till last call then had to take one friend home but met the others at EG. EG was dead after 2 am seen the usual KBGs haha one was really drunk. Ate a bit at EG but my friends were bored so we went to check out SP3. Was too dark so I couldn't tell who as hot but my friends wanted to see naked women. Left there and went back to EG to close out the night.
Thursday night didn't plan on going out but did anyways. Went to stop Damour and it was pretty packed bar was full and most the booths were filled. Didn't want to sit in the booth so went in and went right out to Ellie's. Bar was full when I got there but kind of emptied out around 1230 ish so I moved to the bar. Had a couple drinks then went to check out Splash around 1 am. Was kind of dead at this time so maybe I missed the rush stayed to last call then went home. I'll be out tomorrow night in town side but I don't plan on staying out then again that can all change with how much I drink and how much money I like I spent by the time 4 am hits.

So who actually went out on Friday? It was pretty slow from the bars I went to. Started off in Kalihi around 4 pm at the Waikamilo block was nice and relaxing never seen any BGs so I could just drink. Had a dinner to attend to at 6 pm so left about 5 ish to head into town for dinner. After dinner went to Red Cafe to hangout and drink more. After Red Cafe went and stopped by Ellies around 1130 pm was kind of slow had a couple of people at the bar and couple booths open. Decided to head to Splash after since I didn't feel like checking out Damour, Butterfly, Casino, EG, and Twilight. Splash was dead also so just went home about 1 ish since had plenty cops around and didn't feel like driving back down to Kapiolani. Well won't be going to any bars tomorrow due other plans.

I went to Splash on Friday evening, sat in the bar, girl friend said she was still at home dolling up, her feet was kind of tired walking around with the 5 inches heels the night before, she will be coming in late. I have notice there were a lot of Chinese speaking customers there, they look like the big spender kind.

How is this place?Pupus were awesome. Most of the KGBs are 30+ and all very well preserved. Mamasan Lisa has a huge pair of naturals... No hustle but eventually a very pretty girl with heavy accent sat by me. Her name was Jenny I believe. Bought a couple of nekos and enjoyed her company. So went out last night and as usual paying for it at work now. Just two stops for me. Dropped by club international to say Hi to oldee real quick and got to check out the scenery as well as the talent. Maybe I'll be going there in the future if the crowd dies down a bit. Fast forward to splash, sat with one of the girls there and finally got to see what ashley looked like. Eventually oldee and CG sat down with us. At some point I got to see a BG get the no from oldee for a drink. I still don't have the heart for do that. I'm not even the one saying no and I was ready to buy her a drink cause I felt bad LOL. Overall good fun, be back at it again next week.

Years ago there was a worthwhile (it was fun or I knew the girls for a long time) exception here and there, but no more.
In the case of a mama, it depends; some guys get a mini party (she will bring a buffet of food) while others get a "Thank you honey" and she is gone in a matter of seconds. When you get tired of looking at a small glass still 3/4 full after receiving but a few moments of her presence, knowing she will not return to at least finish it, you will have an easier time declining to spend $20.

Sometimes I really feel sorry for the less known BGs, some of them only speak a few words of English trying to make a living without selling their body. Yes I definitely would buy them a drink if they do come sit by me. Yes there are some big players out there as we all know, they do clean out guys wallet in no time, I would be more careful with those sharks than the less known ones. One two drinks for those less known ones really does not hurt my wallet. Remember we all go to bar to have a good times, sitting there pinching my wallet just isn't my style.

LOL.As usual I was went out late Thurs night didn't get to my first bar till about midnight. Went to Butterfly sat at bar didn't really see anyone that I didn't know. Had a couple drinks and looked around area bar to see if was packed or not. Had a bunch of customers at the bar and had some customers in the booth but didn't seem to crowded. After Butts friends and I went over to Damour had a bunch of drinks. Damour seems busy but its only because of the size some of the booths were occupied and had about 4 customers at the bar when we came in. I went over to Ellie's after and bar was full but other then that was empty maybe had one or 2 booths occupied. Then after that went over to EG to end the night. EG got its rush a little after 2 am but it wasn't nothing out of the ordinary. I will probably be out Saturday needed to take a break on Friday.

Seems like a LVB place now. 4 seasons mostly bar customers and few KBGs but its a Monday and not unexpected. Didn't want to miss the oxtail before got too late and headed to 904 which was kind of busy at the bar and was lucky to get seat. Didn't see the Susy but there was a Jini or Jinhee taller KBG there not bad but also a table hopper type. She was doing bar stool to barstool hopping with the girl with the haku lei on her head trainer I guess and think I overheard she just recently started. Anyway, the bartender asked if I wanted to eat oxtail and I said ok. Was really good but I don't know if was better than Laura's at Damour. However I'm not a oxtail soup expert so maybe it is. Next went CS which was dead and only a few girls working and decided to head to town. International busy for Monday but 2nd string on duty. Yujin was working and the young Chinese / vietnamese girls from Butts moved there too. I noticed the same Patti style shots is 90% tea for you guys thinking the KBGs drink real shots. I seen many bought but not one was real. Those 2 butts girls especially good at making thier own shots. Bad service on mondays at the bar. Damour kind of busy but the rest of the Kap area bars slow. Seen the prince drinking one of the bars last night and he was busy holding court so just said howzit. So who drinking tonight?

Oxtail soup is today and if get extra's tomorrow. Might have braised oxtails Weds / Thur all depends on Junhee. I pau hana early so I'll probably be at 904 early. If she would be somewhere I'm guessing that would be the place provided she didn't go back to EG. When she gets drunk and hadn't have enough or didn't make the necessary moolah she does end up at EG.

Saw her last weekend, she saw me and walk to my table but then saw my friends and just said Hi then walk away. Looks like she gained weight.
Went out to see what the night before the weekend will behold. Stopped by most the bars to see what was going on. Friday was a short night of going to Butts, EG, and Casino. Butts was pretty packed entire bar was full and most of the booths were occupied. Sat at bar and had couple of drinks and some sashimi. After Butts went over to EG which was slow but it was before midnight. Bar was so-so full and a couple of the booths were occupied was a bit hungry so ate some sushi. Left EG and then went over to Casino which was packed. Had room at the bar for a couple of people only and most of the booths were occupied. After that ended the night early.

I did check out International but it was as you describe; kind of reminded me of what I see in the Apple store. I did not stay since I do not have an appreciation for those kinds of hostesses; Beautiful & Useless is not my flavor.

Here comes the food: Steak, sashimi / salmon and tako, pickle cucumber, grill Unagi, fish cake, cone sushi, fried chicken and crab meat salad. Then mama Jennifer gave me Mirugai sashimi and another BG had Opihi ...one was the size of silver dollar. Still till 11:00 pm and mama Lee served Oxtail soup to wash down the alcohol.
BTW. Walked over to Cheer station and GUESS WHAT...I found the FOX. She was feeling good so I got a little play. Ok! Just small kind...LOL.

Problem is expect to pay little above taniokas price. The barback there daren also makes some winna poke, just have to be lucky when he brings it.

Went out Thursday night and was going to start and end my night at splash. Ran into oldee right when I got there who informed me that the girl I came to see was already busy with a customer. As the night would turn out, got to eat dinner and drink at the bar with oldee as my date for the night. Stayed for a while, mostly talking story but eventually left to see what else we could find. Eventually went to international and got to meet a few of the forum guys. Don't know what was going on, but as soon as I sat down there was a KBG that was asking for a drink. I didn't know her and not the type I'd pick so no drink from me. Didn't stay too long, so off to see what else was available. Went to casino, ellie's, eg and twilight. Mostly just to look around and see what I might be pursuing at a later date. Overall was a pretty good night, got to catch up with oldee and I somehow ended with all my cash still in my wallet LOL.

A2Yes, read read read but even 6 months worth of post reading is not enough IMHO. Read both KB threads IF you really want to know about KBs. Asking about KBs is like asking what going to a nightclub that chicks also go to is like and you want to score with those chicks. Most guys that never been to a KB just don't have the patience to read. Some guys are smart enough to go with KB vets as here in Hawaii, we are willing to help each other out without expecting anything in return. Many guys also mistake KBs as being similar to other venues like AMPs. KBs are bars with hostesses most of whom are korean. Some of them are every bit as hot as kpop singers or K actresses but unlike an AMP, sex is not listed on the menu altho it sometimes is available off the menu. They mainly sell themselves time wise to accompany you but not neccesarily provide sexual favors. Is there sex to be got? Yes, depending WHICH KBG and other factors like how much you willing to spend, if you got game, etc. Mostly tho, money spent on KBGs are just for thier time to be with you as they are hostesses and not sex for hire girls such as AMP, escorts, streetwalkers, etc. Almost all KBGs do not consider themselves to be in the same classification as sex industry women even tho some do play in varying degrees but most don't. I would further suggest you learn about our local culture as its plays a big role at KBs too. Almost no tourists go to KBs. Even the young military guys stationed here rarely venture into KBs unless by accident. You are not the first and probably won't be the last to ask about KBs here. Most who never been KBs asked about KBs just as a passing curiousity question or flaked out even if they said they wanted to go so I think that's enough info for now as you may not even read this, hehe. KBs are probably the most YMMV venue we have here because its similar to the hunting civilians game.

Before or as you do each thing, such as order yourself a drink; agree to buying a bargirl's drink; leave your barstool to go take a whizz (leaving a pile of cash from your 'change' in the open) etc., ask yourself the question, "Am I doing a dumb thing?" If the answer seems like 'Yes', stop yourself or take corrective actions. Please don't look go in looking like you're wondering what you have to do.
If you think you got short-changed, you probably did.
If you think the girl is just trying to empty your wallet, she probably is.
Sit at the bar and scope things out first; don't just dive-in unless you have the street-smarts to back it up.

Any way moved on to international, it was so so busy, mama brought two "new" white girls for my friends and they bought another couple drinks, everyone working seemed to be hopping tablesor going to the bar every 5 minutes. Stupid by casino and they were pretty busy, not bad talent there, though the girls seem to only be interested in their regulars. Headed to evergreen after was really busy, sat at the bar and had a drink spilled on me, but no free drink, LOL. Much better talent then the previous nights don't think the slow girls were even standing up by the booths so even they must have been busy. Went in around 4:45 and sat at the bar. New bartender Mia. Nice looking and very friendly. Here comes the food: Steak, sashimi / salmon and tako, pickle cucumber, grill Unagi, fish cake, cone sushi, fried chicken and crab meat salad. Then mama Jennifer gave me Mirugai sashimi and another BG had Opihi ...one was the size of silver dollar. Still till 11:00 pm and mama Lee served Oxtail soup to wash down the alcohol.
BTW. Walked over to Cheer station and GUESS WHAT...I found the FOX. She was feeling good so I got a little play. Ok! Just small kind...LOL.

International and the'Amour was the busiest, everyplace else was so-so. Butterfly was dead and so was EG but it was still early for them. Overall seemed like International had the best looking talent. At each stop Oldee pointed out some of the popular girls (Yuka, Yujin, Ashely) but wasn't interested in hooking up with anyone. Sorry if I disappointed you sempai maybe next time LOL. Just so you know, I did learn a few things that are obvious but unless you're looking for it would never notice. As a new guy to this Korean Bar Report blog I am looking for a way to contribute but seems difficult as the territory seems very well explored by the experienced members. I guess most everyone has their MO worked out in relation to their goal: food, play, chill whatever. So it seems that the best info would be along the lines of, where's busy, what night busy, girl quality, new girls etc. With that in mind...does anyone recall a girl named Kara? She had a pretty good following which included me while she was at Tomorrow. Then about 2 years ago she disappeared. She has just re-appeared at Holiday (ex Honu) in Kalihi. Tall, well enhanced upper body. Daytime bartender Friday Sat Sun.
She's good fun and one of the few who drinks "real" drinks.

Since Oppa bro is a fisherman, decided to hang out with him and talk about fishing, fish kine and KBG kine. Casino was busy and there was a good crew working talent wise. Since Oppa bro just met me, he didn't notice much of the scenery around him since we were in deep convos but I can multi task. LOL. He could have picked any hottie or playgirl he wanted but must be I was mo pretty, LOL. J / K. We talked to many KBGs throughout the night but didn't really buy nekos since I was his "date" Actually I could tell he had shametis in front of me but its ok bro. Go attack when I no stay. I had good fun with you. Met and drank with M69 abit too who had good play time last night. He is a real good fisherman too. International also was so so busy but the young ones there are princesses and fake shot drinkers. Yujin wanted to attack Oppa but I was standing guard. Try go again bro, she going come by you, LOL. I ended up staying till closing it did a pickup a little after 2 am as usual but it wasn't chaotic to where it was standing room only mostly the bar got crowded and a couple booths had customers. My night started off at Splash which was bit busy when I got there around midnight. Sat at Korean side bar had a couple drinks just observing both side bars were pretty busy a couple of booths towards the back had customers with bgs in them and the side I was sitting had a couple customers keeping 2 or 3 bgs busy. After Splash was going to stop by International but only took a peek inside and didn't see anything special so went over to Damour. Sat at bar there and ran into Oldee and another member. It was packed then again the bar is only so big so it can be deceiving. At one point bar most of the booths were occupied and had a bunch of people standing around I was surprised. After Damour I went to look inside Ellie's which was slow so I just ended up going over to EG. Shouldn't of stayed so late oh well I stayed home Friday to rest up for the weekend.

For me atmosphere is everything then food, chill, etc. If play is to be had then so be it because I don't go searching for play really. So that's her name eh. Went back yesterday, same time Noted parking lot almost empty and then no one at bar, no Mia, few over 50 ladies lurking. Anybody know what happened. ? Does Mia still work there?
We left and went to Cozy. The bar at Cozy was full so left again and went to Holiday and at least got seats at a reasonably active bar.

During my last trip to the big city, I popped in for a quick beer in the afternoon. The bartender was Nicky, used to see her at that bar ages ago. Think she must have left and gone back. Saw her one time at the place down stairs from Panda's dim sum place.
Anyway, had an hour to kill that same night so I went back hoping to catch up with her. This place turns into a semi local bar after 8 pm on the weekends. The two bartenders are local husband and wife. Had a nice chat with them, good local pupu's besides what's on the regular bar menu. Seems like a really nice place for old futts like me and my friends to hang out. No crowd like the other popular sports bars iykwim. Only problem is finding parking there. If the lot is full, good luck finding something on the road.

And stopped at Cozy as no one of us had been there since re-opening last week or so. And it was next in line geographically. None of us sit with Mia. Only just met her the previous week as DT bartender, she's easy on the eyes, pleasant to talk to and good food.

Nl. Cool couple, they always take care of their customers. Seems like they both have a regular swarm of bar people (KBG's, retired KBG's & barbacks) that come and visit their place every weekend. Sometimes it's a cool place to check out a couple of girls when they are "off" and just visiting friends. Nice vibe there on weekends, haven't been there in quite some time though.
Mia works bartender on Wednesday and Thursday 2 pm to 8 pm. Yes, Mia is worth sitting with. As for the younger KBG's, they start around 6 pm. Have fun. Ko mena sai. Idk what's the goings on at any bars here nor there cause I don't get into their internal strife's and drives. Better not to get into all "their" shit cause I got enough to deal with. I've never met a Mia for real unless I blocked her out for a reason. Could 1 of you fans describe her? Honestly I have no clue because I only drink with known co-herts.
She works Friday and Saturday daytime at 904.

Went out for suddenly last night out of boredom. Started off at casino which was pretty busy, just had a drink at the bar and enjoyed the scenery. Next stop camelot, went to see if yuki was working, nope. So sat at the bar and had another drink, mama brought a girl over. Nice body but face not the best. Still bought the complimentary drink cause I'm a sucker and I was bored. Left and wanted to check out international before heading home, never really got to do much here prior. Found one of the few spots open at the bar and bought a drink. Was pretty busy with girls and customers all over the bar and booths. Tonight went out to town to check out some bars. Went to Splash which was so-so busy sat at bar just looked around. Then went down Sheridan went past Camelot, Secret, and International just did a quick stop mainly at Camelot and International more to check out the scenery. Camelot was a bit slow and International was so-so busy. After International went over to Twilight, Damour, Ellies, Casino, and EG. Twilight, Damour, and Casino were pretty slow when I stopped by. Some bartenders switched over from Casino to Twilight and Casino had a new bartender that I've seen at another bar but can't remember which one I think it was one in Kalihi though. Ellies was so-so busy and EG was a bit packed but that was after 2 am so its one of the few places left to go. I didn't stay long tonight was more of a just stop by and see type of night didn't really spend much only place I bought a drink for a BG was at Casino.

Started off the night at Christine's was so so busy. Mostly older kbgs no one came up to me maybe I look to young. Had one drink then got text from my friend so now I'm heading to kalihi.
