Went by Monday and daytime bartender is Nami from the old Hilltop in Kalihi. Says she works the bar Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; and the floor Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Anyone get any action from this MILF?

DUI alert- the cop with the blue and white is parking on Kohou street just below N King st. It is very dark and he stops evryone that does not stop copletely at the stop sign or any drive way. He stop you to see if you were drinking and odor of Alcohol. Stop at all stop signs, driveways. He only does DUI's.

Been checking out the Kalihi Bars of late and the only promising one was at Green Tea. Her name is Lexi and she could very well compete with the town girls. Nothing at Carnival, maybe Yuri at Iris, not much at Hollywood, Chocolate has a new girl but she was average looking and in the mid 30's, CK's it's the Bartender (don't recall her name), Safari not much just a hit and miss there, Cleopatra, same girls woking Maybe Ivy is the best, Pink Rose there was one or two young girls there the other night but they left early as there was no customers. You and I changed owners so haven't been there as of late and the old vegas two is still the same. Cheers Station same girls nothing new but it can be fun there.

Went to T time, met this girl name B B. says from kalihi side. bout 5'2" without heels, natrual B's. A=8, S=3, L= 7 (4 my taste), bought her 2 drinks, started to rub jr (through clothes). Being relatively new to the Kalihi bar scene, please excuse if I get the names wrong. (I'll try to be descriptive of the location)
Green Tee: Seems to have a better crop than before. "Plain-Jane" but friendly = Suzie
Across from Green Tee the 3 bars right to left: 1st bar runs hot and cold with some old women usually and an occasional good one. Nice place to have a beer and move on. 2nd bar. Never been in it. Always looks like nothing interesting. 3rd bar (Ivy?) gets some nice girls towards the weekend. The bar-back Sky? Likes to hold onto your boto.
1st Time: Runs hot and cold (later in the week being better). Good fun (Angie?).
C&K? (down the street from 1st-time) Great pupu's one time I was there. Met a nice girl but too young for me. (Jay?).
Chocolate: Never been in but cruised by. Saw a tall (real tall) older lady outside and decided best be on my way.
Cleopatra: Sometimes pretty interesting. BeBe moved to T-time. Think it may become my home bar. Right next door bar usually only has a couple of cuties later in the week.

I have been going a lot more recently to the bars with my friends. They all asking why I not buying any drinks for the girls and I just say low on funds (but really boycott). I gueess it's good because if I don't buy they don"t either. I have to agree with others I don't think the boycott is afffecting the bars to much as compared to the economy being shitty. I still notice that casino, butterfly, T-time, and cameltoes is still doing ok and I still see a lot of guys still buying drinks. Oh well I will continue the boycott untill I get the "all clear" from the seniors. Kinda funny this boycott is kinda like the tsunami only a little show but no damage (to the ROB's). Kalihi is dead at most places but still have the suckers buying drinks for the ho's. I am hoping that it will get worse for the ROB's (fingers crossed) but I will still continue. gl guys

We all would have hoped to have done things differently in the past. Our "youth" hormones always got the best of us. I too have my "mini-boycott", actually it's just being more discretionary with my income. To boycott a known ROB, is not a boycott, it's just commonsense. To not buy drinks in the kb's just defeats the purpose of going to one (unless you are there just for the eye candy). Buying a drink gets you in with a girl. After that 1st drink, it's up to your "game" to bang'em. Seduction, not more drinks, lets you know if she will give you more. If she leaves you, there's your answer. Otherwise it's the usual question: was it me, or was it the drinks. Don't you want to know for sure? Once I tell a kbg, NO, a couple of times, and they never approach me again, then I know they have no interest in me other than for drinks. That's what the girl thinks in reverse. You keep asking her for sex and she says no. You stop asking her, and she says, "I guess all he wanted was sex for drinks". She thinks, was it me or was it just for sex. Now she knows. You never want them to "really" know. Drinks let them know. They view drinks like cash. And cash for sex means prostitution, and the non-sluts never want to viewed as a prostitutes. But if you prefer the sluts, then just ask 'em how much for sex. She will give you a price, then it's up to you to pay or jack off later. If she doesn't give you a price, then you are not f**kable in her eyes for any amount of money.

Another 12- 20 months of this slow down all government workers are getting pay cuts and forloughs except for HPD and HFD they got pay raises in July 2009 and another 5+% July 1st 2010! All cuts will last another 15 months til July 2011!

For example, just received call from KBG wondering what I'm doing and why long time no see (about one week). Told her I'm home doing work due to being evacuated for the tsunami yesterday.
To make a long story short, she was supposed to call me on her day off for the "wild thing" but did not call (so F her). Told her that when she get time, give a call; she said she 'no more nobody' (told her 'Yeah, sure. Take care') and I ended the conversation.
She get the message and have to make the next move, not me. Get other KBGs to visit.

Actually, I think Iliketowatch gives a very realistic picture of how the KB scene works. Ofcourse, most importantly, the bar girls wants money . No surprise there. But, they do actually act like "regular girl" in the sense that they respect guys who do not buy drinks no matter what happens, and takes an interest in them. It is VERY difficult to know when they really appreciate you or just catch the drift of what might entice you. I guess that is what makes the k-bar "game"
interesting. Sometimes, you'll find a kb-girl who will invite you home because they actually really are into your company. You'll know if they don't ask you for money and ask you to stay without ANY compensation.

Lot of young locals go there to drink eat and dance. T-time angie is playful but can get very crazy so watch out for her.
The Korean Bar scene has not changed because of the weak assed mongers. It has changed with the laws. Plain and simply put.
I could go in any bar now and some will give play for money and some will not because it is not worth losing their license.
Go to Club Sandy, The old Magazine girl and play can be received with $40.00.

What's up with the blocked off parking lot at Cleopatra's? Looks like the other bar is shut down (next to Cleopatra's side entrance). No wonder you'd have to walk through to get to it. So anyways, went and had a couple beers at the bar at Chocolate. Nothing there except old ones (older than me and that's pretty old). Bartender is not bad. She was working a table as well. Oh Saturday night met yuri the little one over at that bar next to McDonald's (3rd bar in the row right to left. Iris?). Anyways too many beers for me and yup she is a ROB. Had fun but she sure hits yah hard. Had play but that one could get real expensive. What's up with that mouth thang.
Speaking of Pinesol, Evergreen can use a dousing of that as the bar has a really funky smell.I concur with that JR!!!! Seems as if the funk is moving down Kapiolani from one end to the other. Very interesting, they almost completed their renovations. They have a huge room to the left when you walk in. Probably can hold 20 or more people in there. There are new restrooms on that side and a few more rooms down the corridor. Those rooms aren't ready yet but pretty soon. The mauka wall by the bar now has a stage area with a pole that can be used for dancers. They have 3 new booths behind planters that are across from the big room. Next to the new booths there are 2 big aquariums. They have some open areas that could be converted to booths (if they get rid of the aquariums) but the place may not be full enough for that.
They had 4 go go dancers on Thusday night. The dancers worked a few shifts and danced for about 15 minutes. Some of the girls were hot, a couple in bikinis, one was sheleen from banzai. They may have some go go dancer nights if it works out well. Actually I think they still have the strip club/bar license so let's hope that they have real strippers (not likely, LOL).
Yeah, most of the girls working are from other kb's. Had a couple of lookers but not sure how much play is available. They really need to get a new crop of girls to make this place successful.

I'm brand new to this whole thing but I went to two KB's last night and thought I should report on it. First I went to Secrets and spent some time with Lilly. She was a real nice girl but I felt was a waste of time. She barely even touched me. Then we went over to Moon Flower and right at the first drink I had my one of my digits in the girl. If I took it out she would shove it back in. This went on for a few drinks. She wanted to do more but I had to leave. Not gonna give away her name but I was very pleased.
Will owners of smaller bars consolidate in some way in order to survive?
On a separate note, heard that big Betty from T-Time and a couple other investors own either the master lease or the land occupied by Casino, Buttfly. If that is the case then perhaps we'll see one super bar with smaller concessions within, izakaya style. I know it sounds dumb. Too much drinky last night. Hope you guys had fun.

With AMP, gambling place, bars, and whatever get over there, it must be prime for surveillance (unless you park in Walmart and walk). Had one murder around there, too (close to Sorabol).

In my option, Crystal Palace is way too big. You need a lot of people to fill it, it looks empty. I did not have a good feeling when I was there, didn’t see many girl’s, parking/drive thru sucks. Probably won’t go back.

It just depends on the mama. When Patty opened it in 93, it was packed most of the time. However, the place was like a maze with hidden areas that were pretty private. The funny thing is, the economy was in the doldrums back then, too.

Debt service on $6 mil is @ $500k per year, plus property taxes, maintenance, insurance... If the bars fail, I don't know what kind of business can go in there and still pay them as much.

I'm guessing that is either Ann or the lady that owned Magazine Girl and Bon Soire.
Crystal Palace is actually in a good spot as they have strip club and hostess licenses. it would not make any sense to turn in any of these as the LC will not grant any more as all new bars must abide by the 500 foot rule. If things got bad, Crystal Palace could also be turned into a nightclub for the kids or an ultra lounge.

I agree, the owner makes a heck of difference in a bar. Just compare patty mama at camelot to miki mama at evergreen and you will see the difference. Evergreen is dead much of the time while camelot is usually pretty busy. The girls know too, that's why bars like camelot have top notch girls but crystal palace has older and reject girls.
As for the smaller/larger bar types, again it depends on where guys want to park their butts, some guys like the bars with lots of babes to look at while others like the smaller bars where they might be able to get some action. We all agree that the babes are more ROB types but nice to see eye candy for us and not spend money, I like to sit at butterfly and watch Sue handle the customers but won't spend a dime on her. She knows that she can't hustle me so doesn't even come up to try.

The KBGs have been studying and classifying customers in their own primitive way over time. We behave in predictable patterns because we are basically conditioned to act similarly in different situations (work, home, bar, etc.).
Their livelihood depends on predicting a pattern because it's a predator vs. Victim thing; they classify, predict, and attack based on experience and survival training.

Passed through D' Amour, many customers but I didn't really see any good talent.
Went to Butterfly and it was pretty empty for that bar. The only one I recognized was Dallas; not many girls and no eye candy.
New Casino sounded livelier but that just turned out to be Sammie hollering on the karaoke. It was kinda dead. I didn't recognize any of the hostesses. Many had similar styles and stats; the easiest way to say it would be that had one with a young cute face, you'll know when you see her. Another wore a revealing/veil type of outfit, and if that's how she dresses you'll know when you see her as well. No Anna or v-Lin. Met Jenny, late 30's at least, skinny, very friendly girl with limited English. I wasn't going to buy her anything but she gave a pretty good back and shoulder rub; usually I don't fall for that but she was so pleasant and was doing a good job.

As we was walking in saw a lady that use to work in Eagles(my friend partner)she walk with us in splash and then saw one of my fav bartender Yuri. Remember wen she was working at T time, jack shot 4 shot and she hot too. Someone said she is married, so she came by me and look at my green tea and ask whats this, told her I quit drinking. Hello, all. I've not had the opportunity to actually contribute to this forum but I've dropped by a number of times over the past few years. Most interesting of course. I wasn't aware of the boycott but I'm glad it was brought up and implemented. Successful or not.
So the guys I drink with are usually "older-timers"; they're either retired or about to retire. I suggested a "Rule" when we imbibe whenever or wherever. If a guy buys a drink for $20, then it's either a regular size beer or sojou in a rock glass or short glass. Sojou is just a wine, so why the heck should we pay 20 for a "shot" of wine? If the "lady" is a friend, often they just say water or tea. One is OK with me but that's an individual decision. Small beers are a nono. At least not for 20. They want to do a small one, it's 10. And they always coalesce for the large.
It's easy once you train them. And it's easy to say, since "our rule is the. The. The. " whether your alone or with a group. Upon return, there are no questions asked. They just bring the "right" drink for the right price. And no hard feelings; they're happy.
Which leads me to another plan we had concieved. I'll try to address in a future post. It's almost a guarantee to cut the price of a niko to 10. Or whatever we want.
Last comment on the future of kb's. I've discussed it with many of the older timers both customers and ladies. It seems to me that the younger girls don't care to develop a relationship (friendship) with the customers. It's just a hit and run approach. "I'm princess; I sit around looking great; I want just drink_ee and take your money ". We all know the story. Consequently, as the older timers retire. The ones that have been around for a while. Some for a long while. But they cook, they have a following that has been nurtured over the years and thus BUSINESS. Not so with the younger crowd. They can't / don't care to cook. So there will come a day when all these "core" ladies are all gone and the younger ones never developed a following. And thus the potential demise of the kb's. Just food for thought. Don't get me wrong. I'm not feeling bad for them. I used to drive by kb's and see all the nice cars. Caddies, lincolns, now Benz, bimmers, audi, etc. WOW, the patrons got to have some bucks. Little did I know the nice cars belonged to the girls and NOT the customers. In general. They pull down some amazing kala.

But I think it's because of tax time, every year it's usually slow about this time of the year.

I hear you Alack, my rule of thumb on tip is about $1 per drink. Unless they come around and ask you if you want another round before you finish your drink or sit by you and talk story and don't ask for a drink at all then I tip a bit more just out of courtesy. Table tip is for service and if there's none, I'm ok with leaving nothing especially if I know I'm not coming back to that bar for a long while or at all.

Personally, I stick with something simple, like beer, until I know I can trust the bartender. A shot is not so evident as to brand; I trust the local guys at Evergreen, for example, to fill my order honestly, but with kgirls chances are they'll use something cheaper than what you called for especially if you are at a table and thus not looking. I order that sort of drink at the bar and watch to see that they don't pull any stunts. They may or may not know how to make a margarita so you might want to be at the bar for that.
They should have a menu board; usually domestic beers, for example, are around $3 after happy hour. Hostess drinks would be $20. Do not pay with an amount that would require change (such as paying with a 50) to avoid any "misunderstandings", advances on subsequent drinks, or B-S upsells.
Also some places are just too pilau so I would never drink from their glassware.
If you are unfamiliar with this place, I would sit at the bar and scope things out rather than go straight to a table (I still do this even at bars I've been going to for years, just because staff moves around and girls come and go). You can then see girls who were not visible when you first entered (the better ones are oftentimes taken) and observe who comes up for drinks every 2 seconds (the ROBs) and who is more reasonable about it, among other things.
Whether they approach you is YMMV. Girls are different now; I seldom get approached, usually get treated like LE even by the ms sometimes.

Well it's certainly nothing new. Hostesses have been f-ing customers since before many of us were born, and will continue to long after we're old and retired from bars. Drove by Pisces the other day and found out the parking lot is open again BUT ONLY IN CERTAIN STALLS (I think 5-13?). Make sure you park in only those stalls becuz a security guy who watches the lot will call and tow your car! What a dick, but what the hell. The boycott is still on!

We went to Red Carnation last night and it was pretty busy despite the rain. We pretty much just chilled and neva buy old ladies drinks. Got good service so had to take care of old lady waitress.

The way I'm handling the boycott is by taking only a minimal amount of cash when I step into a bar. If I plan to go and have a drink by myself, I only take 10 bucks. If I go with a friend, I take 20. Can't spend more than I have on me. It's been working since I never pull out the plastic.

As others have posted the girls at a bar do talk with each other, they will tell the other girls that you don't spend money and so may not want to sit with you when you do want to sit they them.
I don't spend frivolously at the bars and am usually known that I want to play with girls and won't spend money if the girl doesn't play so many girls at the bars don't even give me the time of the day and will ignore me if I try to go up to them. Not that I really care as then I won't be bothered by the girls.
I also have friends that go to the bar after their volleyball and bball games and the girls all know and don't even bother trying to get drinks from them.
Anyway, just letting you know that the boycott could get you labelled.

I admire and comend the boycott but my gut feel is that there are too many yong bucks willing to go thru the same experiences (mistakes and rewards) many of us have gone thru and too many old lonely dudes willing to spend money because they can spend.
To me, no matter the boycott. If there is a want, you going do. Really. But just be smart about it. I play the 3 strike rule. If I cannot get any positive feedback by the third time, the girl is x-ed. Trust me, if the girl does not respond by the third time, you rate of return is not in your favor.

If that's the same Lexi I know, she's tanned from going to the beach everyday right? Speaks Japanese? Last reports on that Lexi is she was a ROB but as in everything in life, YMMV. I've moved-on too, but these girls pop back in and expect things to be the same.
